Yes, i have that problem as well. I went to roll the guards but it did not fix the problem. Every time i corner hard, there will be a little rubbing sound. Well, i work out a way to fix this problem. ...Rub it until it is not rubbing any more! ... Now when i take my wheels off, i could see there a hole in the inside part of the wheel wall. I think soon i will have no unly rubbing sound. ...hahha

Are you planning on lowering the car as well?
I think your best bet would be to see what other owners (with maximas) put on there cars. That at least gives you some guide to what wheel to put on.

The other thing to mention (which I didnt see discussed in this thread) is tyre size.

note: it only started rubbing when i got it lowered

i got 17s and pretty lowered .. and nope i hardly ever scrape my tyres on the guards, i got hard springs.. even with a full load in the car..

wat kind of springs?

i have the same prob, i have 18" by 7.5 lowered btween 3.5" to 4" adjustable springs) standard shocks though (yes dodgy) the only rubbing i have is at full lock, scrubbing on inner gaurd and a bit on the outer.. oh my gaurds are lipped.. theres not much u can really do unless u wanna send huge amounts to customise shit.. its just a thing u have to put up with to look good hahaha

haha ur 17s got issues, i got 18s on slammed bilstein coilovers.... lol well its the misses car but i drive it since sh got no licence,

u gotta rev the car up reversing and cornering coz the whell rubs so hard it stops that car

How does your cars even move? with 17 or 18 inch wheels?
