And I'm talking here from the current experience. I had (and still have), the 2.5" system on my CD2R for the past 2 years.
And btw, I talked to Adrian from Toda before I did it. :D
haha fair enough, must of misread your post... or misinterpreted it :)
my bad
but still, the 4-1 headers i put on i've noticed increased power over the whole rev range... mainly up the top, but down low aswell
i suppose it all comes down to what people define as drivability... i mean, to me, a car having bad drivability would be having a brass button clutch on a daily driver which is used in peak hour traffic etc... but yeah to each their own :)

only a dyno session - before and after - can confirm whether you have actually gained power and where.
Good driveability means that a car is easy to live with.
Yes, a brass button clutch does not promote a good driveability. :D
yeah, i mean, i think with these basic mods it can also have the placebo effect where your mind makes you think you've got increased power, but i definately do feel a difference, and my mate who drove the car was impressed by the difference after the extractors, but yeah, i dunno :)
this is just a stepping stone for me until i have finished my plans, then i may not need it and choose the forced induction route, but yeah.
