I'd say the s2000 would be quicker if launched properly. Otherwise they're pretty close and it depends on the drivers.

i had a few drag with Nissans,
my s2k VS S15 Silvia Stock with air intake, i was winning 1/2 car length
my s2k VS R33GTST stock with 18 inch rim, i was winning 1 car length
my s2k VS Ford XR6 Turbo stock i was winning 1/2 car length
S2K launch around 6-7000Rpm.
those are my personal experiences with few mates. btw my S2k is stock with spoon air filter and carbon bonnet, FYI i think S2k is around 1280Kg in weight.
According to this: http://www.importdriver.com.au/Coupe_Targa.htm
Stock R33 Gts25t do 6.21sec 0-100km/h & 14.4sec qtr mile (keep in mind thats a BRAND NEW SKYLNE running JAP 100 Octane Fuel)
when my r33 was stock as rock on aussie 98 octane it ran numberous runs of 6.9-7sec 0-100km/h
Stock R33 have 184kw@fly/engine and 294Nm of torque and weight around 1370-1390kg (average have 130-135kw@wheels) Power/Weight Ratio = 7.55 (the lower the quicker) BUT that does no take into account TORQUE!
Stock S2k have 176kw@fly/engine and 208Nm of torque and weight around 1259kg stats taken from carsales 0-100km/h 6.2sec (i'm guessing on Aussie fuel since Oz-spec) Power/Weight Ratio = 7.15
FERRARI 360 MODENA 294kw@engine 373Nm of torque Weight 1390kg Power to weight ratio = 4.72
as you can see from comparing the Farrari (which is obviously faster the lower power to weight ratio the quicker the car)
my opinion... Stock for Stock S2k will be quicker then a stock R33 but not by much (but not many R33's are stock)
R33 VS DC2R (stock for stock) pretty even, depends on driver. <stock DCR2 0-100km/h 6.9-7sec?>
thats my 2c
my mates have raced this one out and the S2k won by just over a car length. r33 GTST are nuggets.
s2000 will win for sure, last wime i tested my car at WSID and 4 skylines r32 and r33 gtst-s were there and the only mods i could see were intercooler and exhaust and they all ran in the 15s,with my 14 sec car i still yet to be beaten by one.Gts-t drivers these days still think its cool to drive a stock gts-t which i think it isnt. They are very slow on stock form
very interesting reading fells, espeacially from the nissan peeps.
NA all the way :)
...until you see your wallet when you want to get more power :pQuote:

all i can say is..its all up to the drivers!
Torque makes a car "feel" faster. When a skyline GTS-T is on boost it feels sooo powerful. These turbo p platers drive around thinking they are the king of the road. I keep telling these kids...just because it doesn't have a turbo, doesn’t mean it won’t be fast. They're like "what? is an S2k really that fast?"
From experience, the boost of the Nissans means that they are running more horsepower earlier so will seem frustratingly quicker as you try to get up to the magical 6000rpm. However there is nothing like seeing and hearing a Honda pull away at max revs away using pure power to weight.
If the S2k driver knows how to gear his car above the power band...he's on for a win.
Stock R33 GTS-T produces 220whp on 0.7bar and i think stock r33 is slow before 3rd gear, when you shift to the 3rd gear it goes like a rocket. I agree that S2000 is fast since that it produces 240ps on engine but if you really own one you will notice that s2000 is lack of torque and the gear ratio is quite long unless you can get 4.4 final gear.
If you are trying to compare this 2 cars, i will say that for 0-100, s2k will be faster and R33 will on 0-400km
