Keep the B18B as is. Crower make Sick cams for the B18B increase 24+Hp with ecu tuning. Add on basic bolt ons and you dont need VTEC you have all motor Pig DOG!

i have a type r ex protek car i am asking 4 a friend i dont think he has the dollars to buy a vtec one.... i will c how we go with pp heads bigger throttle body and cams i will keep u guys posted
the ls/vtec or frankinstien are very powerful, but they lack the ability to rev highly safely (with out alot of money throwen into the bottom end), which leaves them with no real use for vtec. The b18b has longer con rods that make a high r.s (rod stroke) ratio and doesnt have oil reliefe valves either. the bores tend to warp oval, through too much stress from high revs.and i think the crank isnt ballanced like the vtec b16a or b18c too. make sure you read the pros and cons of the build.
