vtec not engaging?

My VTEC engages at 2300rpm and my car is stock A/T.

according to my honda mechanic, L15A VTEC engine engage the vtec point at 3500RPM at half throttle, but in Wide open throttle it engage at 2200 RPM, you can test it by installing a VTEC point indicator, when the selenoid valve opened the valve, it will light up. just as that simple..... :honda: and FYI, the vtec is not working when the transmission is on N, as the light from my vtec point indicator never light up when i push the throttle to the limit on Neutral.....

where can you get the VTEC point indicator?
