Would you buy another new Euro?

Holdens are sexy and good performance in resonable price. But if you thinkin to change the car every three or four years, Holden is not suitable coz of the price drops. It drops like more than half of the original price after couple of years.

Liberty GT..?? Lux + performance.:thumbsup: High insurance though. My mate wanted to get one. He's 30. They quoted for insurance about 3K. I like the shape and interior. Can afford insurance for those turbo cars.

How about Mazda 6 MPS? not too bad. I like the performance. But i'm not a fan of Mazda.

As Suntzu said, BMW 328 coupe. One of my fav. car. 325 also will do. Price is stable too.:thumbsup:

Electrical and engine problems are one(two) things, but not being able to stop a hose from leaking fuel is ridiculous.

and HSV is completely seperate from Holden now, so they are pretty much 2 different cars, whereas before, HSV was just bolt on parts to a regular commodore

I don't really see the benefit of RWD for this application. You can get the car to be quite neutral with some fairly simple mods. More weight is also going to be a negative.

As for your point 2 - well here is to the ECU mods like Hondatech delivering on your dream. Some of those packages are going to be the equivalent of 170kw at the engine (or is that wishful thinking?!).

That's exactly why I would never ever buy an Australian car. They are a joke. I had a mate who got a SS ute and had to get a complete new engine after ~2000kms. I work in the mines so all my mates have hi-po cars. Another with a XR8 ute keeps on having to go back for steering issues. Hardly just a veering left problem, but power steering completely packing up. My aunty has a falcon and has already had 3 new auto gearboxes in that under warranty. She is hardly what you call a "hoon".

What problems did I had with the Euro? NONE!!! That's why I am thinking about another one. :honda:

Yes - Hondatech seems to be just a dream!!! :p

If it was me I'd just keep the euro, an evo is an upgrade in performance but a downgrade in refinement and build quality as others have pointed out.

Also if you bought a euro for 36000 then spent 25000 on performance modifications (the equivalent cost of an evo) that'd make it more than enough fun IMO ;)
