Guys,all very simple.
Its all at the under dash fuse box.
For positive(12V),get a female spade terminal & plug it into one of the spare terminals on the front of the fuse box,theres about 5 of them.One or two of them will be permanent supplies,the others will activate at various positions of the ignition key.Just test which one is on all the time.Also put an appropriate fuse in this wire,& then feed to the lights your installing.
Yes the door switch is a ground switch.It grounds the lights so they can activate.
This wire appears at the integrated control unit clipped into the rear of the fuse box.It will be in a connector ,seperate from all the other rear connectors,plugged into the back of fuse box closest to the passenger side.
Most likely a green/red wire(check what colour it is at the passenger door switch,not the drivers door switch).Just tap a connection off this to lead to the lights.Test the wire grounds out when u open & close the door by pulling the connector out & testing,before u cut anything.
