Yeah I've rebuilt gearbox and I have noisy valves (sounds like an SR20DET at idle heh) but engine still runs smooth :D
Ek4, 1997... traveleed almost 120 000.... problems to date... had to change th eitming belt and the water pump busted itself...
EK9....1999 model...just over 40k...err...don't ask why...i seldom drive..thats why...HAHA...and i didn't adjust it okay...
my EG6 has 190k's on it and still going strong. Thank god for the engine rebuild around the 130k mark!
132 XXX k's got it on 115 8 months ago..
i bought my ek4 civic with 108,000km.. had it for a year and its just on 119xxx (i shed a tear when i rolled into a maccas carpark and it rolled over to 115xxx hehehe) my mechanic says my car wont die until long after 300,000 if i keep her nice. But i choose to off road it ;)
wot exactly does an engine reubuild involve? valves? pistons? conrods?
new internals...
replace anything that's worn..
it's suppose to b and feel like a new engine ..
so u need to wear it in for the first 1k
