I've had cops follow me when I've turned off highways into sidestreets etc I guess 'cause the CR-X looks "sporty" and in some suburbs the cops are literally looking for people to pick on. That said, I've actually never been pulled over and my suspension was so low that I raised it on my own free will, just so I could keep my exhaust attached.
Get stiffer springs or tell your friends to walk :P

yeah coilovers on the way in the next month or so. So that should solve all the problems. I just think the rule is crap. just think about when you have no one in the car it is legal, when it is fully loaded it is illegal. Then when you go to vicroads they measure it without a full load! Stupid that is what it is

If you ever use those funky "hand wash" car washes, you should find they run the car through an automated section first that pulls the car along a belt. They couldn't do my car after I lowered it, stating that the lip on the belt (to steer the tyre) was 100mm high - the legal limit.
There are many disadvantages to being lower than that height. Also the actual performance of the car (if it is even a concern to you all) is not at its best the lower you go. It's a complicated subject where complex physics calculations are brought into play. So if you're serious about the performance, get a professional to tune your suspension settings.
Aside from the height being calculated by numerous factors, such as how the declining angle of control arms affects camber - for a basic example - and drag versus downforce, each corner is measured and tuned independently of the actual level it is sitting at. Coilovers can be used to balance the weight of the car properly, as the car isn't even from diagonal to diagonal - unless it's a ferrari or something hehe
So what I'm getting at is, stay with legal heights unless you have had your car professionally tuned and the pro determined the perfect height to fall under the legal limit. Then be weighing up the pros and cons of street versus track and making a commitment or compromise. :wave:

Good Advice though, Dylanamus.
I've had to put my front stocks back on, and have my rear as lowered -- It's VERY weird to control.
Would like to get adjustables and get it tuned from there for better driving.

this may seem stupid but i have noticed now that i have raised the front by 7mm it is easier to steer like it is not as heavy.
