nice work man. i want to go down a similar route with my B18B, get some cams.
how did they cams change the driveability with stage 2 crower?
is it mainly midrange gains?

nice work building on that platform!! yeah, having a non-vtec lumpy cam means a nice lumpy idle!
depending on how far you intend to go and spend... could also throw in a light weight flywheel when clutch is due! that'll make it a little more fun... and like i said, depending on funds... could always go for an ITR gearbox? or even a b16 gearbox? shorter gears will help too! because i recall the std b18a ratios aren't crash hot...
just keep you ride clean and maintained... thats a pretty good gain through the whole rev range!!
yeh dude
lots of guys in the states put in b16a gearboxes on a ls engine and puts them into the 14's with jsut boltons. thats if you can withstand reving at 4000rpm on the free way.
but other things like turtle said, flywheel would be great.
did you ever think about going crower 404's when you were deciding on cams?
ok lots of questions hehe
for one i have after market headers which were custom made 4-1 by cypher, i brought them off a guy on OH
i would of looked into getting 404's but i brought the 403's of a guy in OH (the same guy ;)) :P
and yeh i think i need LSD and when the clutch does go ill be looking at getting flywheel + HD'er Clutch and when the gearbox goes ill look into maybe b16a or b18c to get LSD, i guess which ever is avalible at the time heh.
cheers for comments guys :)
oh and the driability, with the full ECU it isn't too bad, but when it was running standard ECU it wasnt very crash hot (could idle etc) but yeh i really like them, and its mainly mid/top end, the power really kicks in at around 4+.
my next little thing ATM will be lookin at getting better exhaust, i have crappy 2.25 with crappy muffler and its really loud, be lookin at getting 2.5 with resonator, muffler and then a muffler tip (oh and cat :P)
Man thats cool hey. Don't be worried about your dyno readings, the dyno is there to tune the beast, then you take it to the 1/4 mile and track to see how fast it is. FYI iv'e seen B16a's pull around 90Kw on some low reading dyno's so lets say your LS is putting out about 160Hp at the fly now? Id be pretty chuffed. Your power curve looks nice and linear. Good work on taking a different path and choosing something unique.- Kyle
