the Cwest s2000 runs ITB's and it has a custom airbox + air feed from the front bar which means direct cold air to the itbs. This ideally would be the most optimal setup to run but id just leave it like that lol

when i did a search up on ITB's and s2000's, many of the few owners that actually had ITB setups said it was very difficult to get a reliable tune, and was not suited to daily driving/occassional driving, but more of a track/special/weekend blaster.
Would ITB's be most effective when there have been other mods to optimise it? Excuse my ignorance, just my impression from searches.
Yep,pretty much.
well when the hondata becomes available for the F20c tuning should be easy.
From what i have seen for B series motors, a mildly modded engine can benefit from ITB's and a good tune.
furthermore, the myth about ITB's not being suitable for daily driving, fuel consumption and noise is rubbish. ITB's are not much louder than your average intake kit.
what about daily driving and fuel consumption?
Like fly said, now that the hondata is available, a tune to complement the ITB's should do nicely. If you've gone to all the trouble of fitting and tuning ITB's and other assorted goodies, your pretty much not gonna give a flying fcuk about fuel consumption. Obviously when manipulating air/fuel, ignition, timing....ure gonna be burning more fuel. Cant have ure cake and eat it too. :)
From what I've read on S2ki on ITB fuel consumption they seem to say that at partial throttle openings the fuel consumption is normal but then at WOT it tends to increase quite a lot
All due to air/fuel mixture. The more air thats inducted, the more fuel will thrown in.
i'm sure most people wouldn't care about fuel consumption anyway, otherwise they wouldn't've bought a sports/performance car.
Seems to me that a Injen CAI is a GOER!
Mugen or J's Racing......just my 2c
