It wouldnt be that hard if the engine and box fit between the chassi rails. A few custom mounts and drive shafts. im with every one else---WHY??

You could retrofit an EG fron onto a newer body i suppose, but i don't see the point!!
As for the SR20, a saying i once heard quickly springs to mind;
"Don't be wrong just to be different"
Honestly, there's a reasont that the most commonly explored avenues are just that, most common...
That is that they work, why would you even try and fit an SR20, when a turbo B16/B18/K20 (the list goes on) will cost you far less, be easier to do, give you far less headaches and perform better anyway.
Plus just remember that the more you mod on a car, the more of a headache it becomes.
I mean imagine trying to buy a clutch for an SR20 converted civic, do you buy a silvia clutch, civic clutch... what??
Ok smartie :p, so what then?
Personally i think that IF you WERE going to do it, your easiest way would be to modify the bell housing and use the factory box, otherwise the rest of ur driveline would be even more of a headache to retrofit!!
Pulsars and civics are completely different cars!!
Plus correct me if i'm wrong but i do not know of any front wheel drive nissan with an SR20DET in it!
There are all wheel drive turbos, and there are front wheel drives with a straight SR20's (n/a) in them, but we are talking about amalgamating parts from three different cars by then.
SSS pulsar block and driveline + GTiR pulsar top end and turbo + civic.
OK smartie you will find out that the engine sits 180" around in the nissan
and you will have stuff all room from the fire wall to the turbo now. after you bolt up your adaptor you will realise that you have 5 reverse gears and one forward:wave:.
The easiest way would be to use an SR20DET from an AWD bluebird, use a sss N14/primera gearbox, some custom drive shafts and 180" the engine. Iv done this before (without the 180") with a fwd sr20DET. A mate also put one in a camira.
so what happen when honda mix with nissan?
honssan? wahahahahha !!!
ive seen a civic with s14a front is200 rear and an sr20det, cant remember name of the car, i was goin to buy it, but sold the day before i called :( this was a while back tho
why would you want to buy such a monstrosity
SR20 engine is a good engine & can be purchased for much less than a K series engine. The only thing your gonna have problems with with mounts and wiring the dash to work, then getting registered
I've seen s2000 engine in an AE86, Skyline GTIR engine in a Supra so these hybrid are doable, but they had specific reasons and it was not $$$.
i doubt it... you could just use an N14 or N15 pulsar enigine.. theyre SR20's and theyre front wheen drive.
its would fit fairly easily and you dont have to worry about trying to get the 4WD gear box hooked up to your front wheel drive car...
you could prob pick up an N14 front cut for like $1000 - then pay some one to fit it and there you go....
i dont think it would cost too much but they only have 105Kwm mind you - theyre pretty torquey for a little engine!!!
