Yes thats correct. Once you pull the clips out they are designed to break to be released and then you have to replace them..
I do not know why this is the case, perhaps to deter people from pulling things apart. I really don't know why they do it.

Yea. With the commodore clips we figured out how to get them off without breaking them too but it required the seat being out of the car so you could get in under it with a large flat head screw driver and push the clips in certain spots to remove them without breaking them. Same deal with these ones.
Can be quite a game of luck.
I had a squeak in the drivers seat. After 3 times trying to fix it Honda ended up replacing the entire leather seat.
my seat squeaks like crazy everytime you move your left leg to clutch... had it "oiled" up by honda and a week later the noise is now its back :/ they scratched up the interior as well ffs.....
I've had it to them once and they passed it off as something they couldn't fix under warranty. Their excuse was something like, "it only happens at some particular adjustments of the lumbar support". At that point in time, I thought it was pretty obvious they didn't want to fork out for a new seat.Quote:

We have had to repair alot of brand new car interiors from dealerships because they have tried to take the seat out and have scratched everything in the process.
Its not hard to pull off the sill panels and door trims and then lay towels/blankets down.
I can't get the bloody things out, can anybody tell me exactly what I should do?

Ahh they are easy to get out. Get a pair of side cutters. Softly squeeze the side cutters (so that you don't cut the top off the clip) around the middle of the clip at its narrowest point. Then lever the side cutters up so that the clip is then forced down and it will then pop out. If there isn't much room to move then by rocking the side cutters with force the clip out also.
Hope this helps you. Just so you know these clips can be purchased from any auto parts store aswell so if you do stuff them don't stress too much.
tried to do that, but the clip broke.
I ended up just mangling the shit out of it to get it out, but now I have nothing to take to repco to compare!

I think the way to remove it properly was to push where the arrows are and then push the clip outwards (to the right hand side on my ghetto picture). But because it is a tight space, you need pliers to apply force to the pushy bits and you can't really see what you are doing, it makes it very difficult.
Is this a generic part found in alot of cars? If so how common is this part and if I went into repco, would they know what I am talking about if I described it here?
tell them your looking for interior trim clips, they should know what it is.

would you happen to know if I can also get the bumper/fender clips from repco. you know the ones where you put a flathead screwdriver under and pry them up? I think there are 2 or 3 versions each of differing length..
