Leaving sydney with a full tank, Not once i needed to fuel up! i was laughing!! with plenty to spare (fuel guage only half with a 300km range to go) to drive in and around Dubbo.

Whilst my other mate with a small Hyundai Accent (which apparently is the fuel efficient cars) had to fuel up half way to dubbo and fuel up again at Dubbo.

All in all I only had to full tank again before leaving back to Sydney and the mate with the Hyundai had to top up another 4 times in total before reaching sydney.

Gotta love my car.

I am aiming one day i get 7.5 or 7.0L/100km! well, one day! if i find the most straight road in NSW.

and u said 'half way to dubbo'

LOL i didnt mean to open a can of worms.. i just wanted to tell everyone how efficient the CRV is.. and yes, i do love my honda.. isnt it that obvious that im in a honda forum posting honda threads about my honda? lol

look my maths could be wrong but im not lying when my mate had to fill up 4 times... i was amazed myself that i only had to fill up once! with enough left over to stretch it out a couple of more days!!

has any one actually been to dubbo from sydney ?

if you guys have i am sure you know getting past lithgow is a stop start, winding up and down road, its not a straight stretch... and plus it was raining heavily both ways.. so this could influence the performance of the hyundai... and when we did hit the straight road, i was on cruise control all the way and i guess his constant acceleration to try and keep up with me could be another factor...

and once in dubbo, we went around like crazy... from one place to another... for it was in fact a.. road trip.

who knows..

all i know is.. he filled up 4 times.

but then when u think about it
u say he filled up twice on way home
that means
he had a full tank?
for the rest of the week.
lol
