Heres a personal story:
in the purchase before i got my accord, i bought an audi A4, it was a lemon with 66K kms on it - even from a dealer. sold it 3 wks later, and I lost $3000.

So $1000 a week. So thats A LOT worse than the 'issue' u r faced with.

Sure he may have misrepresented, but u HAVE a running reliable car that looks great and handles comparatively good. Like a house becoming a home due to ones love for it, your purchase can also become your pride and joy.

Yeah very true, thats been running in my head since the start since the girlfriend, told me too keep it and stop pursuing this, atleast we have something to get around with

but im like. fuct that, i want my money back :)

Very true, i'll keep what you've said in mind tho, when i go tomorrow, at best, im looking for 1000 back. if not more.

i did pop the bonnet, but there was no round plate, so i didn't recognize it as a carby. just looked like a normal GLi with a "funny" intake and alot of wires lols. i wasn't educated in telling difference between carb -> efi, tho i did know differences between all the EFI's. anyways lesson learnt. i haven't even driven it that much, cars been in and out of the mechs! frickign two weeks transmission, and its back there now cause trans. oil leak, fricking.

and the speakers work fine, it was just the deck that came with it wasn't installed properly, i thoguht only one worked, but installing a new deck y'day fixed that. so yeah. after i got the car back from the mech's on thurs, car sounds very loud some reason when i give it

im looking at buying a twinloop exhaust, but as everyone has said, exhaust+auto=noob. which it is, but blah, i hate my stock muff, look so gay. and i don't know what the twinloop will sound on a carb. but yeah, i never want anything loud at low revs ahah.

but yeah.

I Love your honesty man.Your first car is never the one you want but also most will do engine swaps anyways so just do all the other mods then when you get money do an engine swap.That's what I'm doing,lots of fun :)

i'm thinking of doing an eng conv. but it seems so much of a headache changing it to efi lols. but yeah, at the mean times it my way of A to B, and what ray has suggested to me, is too just pour my money into cosmetics, which is what im looking at doing.

Rims + Tyres,sway bars,coilovers or a good shock and spring combo is a great place to start.Cosmetic mods can be a waste of money.Just get the car looking clean.That always looks the best especially on a eg Hatch.

^^^ well full story of what i said was do cosmetics cos when michael decides to get his manuals and buy his project eg he can take all that off and still use it for his new eg.. he told me he had intentions of driving this car around for a while then buying a manual one.. i believe comsetics are great although you can be targeted for them now..

from ur pix ur car looks decent.. hope u get decent amount of rego wif it for that price tho and as ray said go for the cosmetics so u can chuk em over.. to ur new project car but if ur gna do an engine conversion in the end then jus keep this car...

dun assume that youll fink that youl be happy selling this car to move on to a dseries 1.6 si/vti cus youl always want more.

one of the first few mods i did to mine were rims/tyres n coilovers, i wish i went for the b series engine conversion b4 i did nefing tho

yeah i guess. but yeah, im a very "pretty" boy, hence i like my car pretty with cosmetics

hence im getting 19" chromes, thin tyers, crystal taillight/headlight and cutting my springs

nah joooooooooookes. looking for spoon frontlip, type R rearlip, some king springs (cbf for coils, too poor),shocks, strutbar,rims and wing. hmms, looking clean, yeah i've bumped it in a few places, so i wont be going clean :P:P and what ray said, i will start doing engine mods and all that with a manual. frack this auto ness, just gotta make it looks cool in my eyes :D

i got rego till 2009. and im still 50% on engine conversion, cause im really looking forward to getting a DC2R\DC5R so :X
