Depending how you drive will depend on how long it lasts.

(i've seen guys blow up brand new boosted cars cos of the way they drive)

So you're saying drive an untuned NA-T car for awhile, then tune it?

yeh i have, but its not just the build path i'm wondering about, more the maintenance part to long life. thanks for all the posts tho, very helpful, cheers

Maintanence is just the same as any other car for long life. Regular serviceing, good oil.

Rubbish... an exhaust add's power, and it will have not have any adverse effects on the engine life.

it's all a system, which is controlled by the person behind the wheel.... if that person has no care for the system, the system will fail sooner rather than later... if that person does have any mechnical sympathy it will last longer than in the hands of the first person...

at the end of the day it is mechnical so it aint perfect... it will break down eventually

yeh true, well if i go turbo i'm gonna have to strengthen anything, i'm not gona lie, i'll most definately be driving "spiritedly"..

what kind of power were you putting out to damage the valves? any incident that caused it or just wear and tear?
