yeeh he recently bought an AUDM integra typeR frontcut and he's plannin on installing the b18c7 into his car but yeh i was curious as to why his vtec has no crossover with the d16y8/....this is his car btw....

that seems to be a common issue
mine brother has a ej you can feel it kiks in. But nothing beat a 2.5 mugen cat back twin loop on a h22a when vtec kiks gotta love that sound. and if u add AMI spray on it rev longer, stronger and donger lol.
i hate those tailights. (same as on mine). im buying the jdm style smoked lights. he should invest there.
as people have already said~ try to hooks up the vtec light and take it for a drive, i would also check for any loose wires around the solenoid area~ and would check if there is enough oil in the car~ if its not any of that don't worry just chuck in the b18 and see what it do~
just get a microphone and loudspeaker on your car, and then when you reach around 5k rpm, as loud as you can, make a "BAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" sound with your mouth into the mic.
My brother has a Civic Coupe D16y8 engine i read up on it. it has a Vtec on it. but yeah can't hear it or feel it pulling. but i do feel that after redlining it and changing to 2nd gear the car feels like it got more power(i.e it the revs are still above 4.5 grand) so im thinking the vtec kicks in a bit later.maybe...... Hey its Just a theory.:zip:
oh yet my CRX feels like it got more Vtec than the civic coupe and my engine don't suppose to have vtec it only a D16A8 (ZC) lol. it kills my brothers civic coupe.
