nope not the rear... everyones taste I guess but I really like the rear
ebay it champ :)
Rear camber kit currently being installed. One side in already and having a break before i do the other side
Both in need a wheel alignment bad now
i need to start looking for a front camber kit
bad news.... my right tyre nipped a really really high center curb (like 1/3 of the wheel tall) and it's completely killed my front axles apparently...
Positives are I get my TE37's on tomorrow and negatives are I might need to replace the front axle....
Lower your car before you put the wheels on. Or atleast at tge same time
Richard you got the visors on yet
hey guys stupid question but can a skunk 2 exhaust currently on heeltoe (listed as 04+) be installed onto an 03 cl9?
it will fit ;)
As I see here all people start tune from wrong side, first of all engine managment solution then all parts like header, intake manifold, exhausts, good tune and etc. Then you will have all benefits - power, speed and economy ;) Start doing things right, don't waste money on parts which doesn't give any +
P.S. I tuned a lot of CL9 and know how to do thigs right, what to install first and what would be good at the end ;)
What engine management?? There was many lengthy discussions on this.. but please, if you do know better please enlighten us. In Australia we are kind of in a jiffy when it comes to ECU... Ours is different from all other part of the world, due to emission standards, so the EvAP settings is completely different from everywhere else.
Is it the kpro dual in which you lose VSA and Cruise control?
Is it the US Hondata reflash that gives CELs on AUDM cars
Is it the Jtune reflash which costs friggin 5 times the Hondata reflash that does the exact same thing (approx 1300 euros for a Hondata reflash)?
Is it the haltech interceptor/[insert name of obd2 piggyback here] that does *nothing* to VTC engagement and gets confused by Drive-by-wire on part throttle??
Or is it the new Flashpro from Hondata that requires you to buy a USDM post facelift ECU???
Thats pretty much all the options available to us in the country of ours. Everyone here on the forum would got a god damn Hondata reflash of its available to us without all the riff raff that comes with it. We aren't talking about k20 powered euros.
From Hondata it's only two solutions:
Is it the kpro dual in which you lose VSA and Cruise control + you need to use K-Tunned Harness (K-Pro have a little bit more features compared with FlashPro)
Flashpro from Hondata that requires you to buy a USDM post facelift ECU
Forget all reflashes - it's waste of money and no big benefits, because you can't tune A/F, Ingition, VTC angles and etc. Reflash only helps with power dip after ~ 5000 rpm which all CL9 Euros has (TSX also has it), thats all. All car's is a little bit different, even the same tunes from K-Pro not good for two almost identical cars ;)
We know the solutions from hondata, I outlined them.
Kpro dual, most of us had to live with our cars, we like our VSA and cruise.... That and the legal Side of the problem...
Flash pro: bloody expansive exercise. And we have different EVAP and fuel tank pressure sensors, the effect of replacing the ECU is unknown.
Not one proper ecu thats priced well. Disappointing! Every single ecu or piggy has an issue it seems...why doesnt someone come up with solution and make some money? Im 100% interested in tuning my euro
Only because our market is so small
what issues ? cruise control and VSA with Hondata K-Pro. I think these two things is nothing compared what you get, for powerfull car VSA is not needed - believe me. Just install oem Honda LSD and it would be better 100 times then our VSA. Without cruise control I can live.
Legal issues with missing VSA (whether they can find it is beside the point)
As to cruise, we're a bloody big country.... You try to drive from Sydney to Melbourne without cruise. :-)
So did I, TSX IS CL9 btw, I'd like to see what he's actually cooking before I make a judgement, he keeping mum at the moment. should his system be able to emulate oem ecu factory settings (which is kinda necessary if he wants to make it a Multi-ecu capable system he's claiming) then it won't be hard to use it for any CL9 since the EVAP and fuel tank pressure sensors woont be disturbed, so is the different VSA sensor setup between AUDM and USDM.
I know what is TSX and CL9. Marcus is cooking somethink like piggyback, you will need to connect to oem ECU. All VSA settings is in our oem ECU's, idle control also done with oem ECU, I saw cracked .bin file in which is possible to change all settings in our ECU's. Russian guys are reflashing CL9 ECU's with different settings long time ago - same as Hondata Reflash but without any check engine light in dash ;)
Freedoops you forgot to put Haltech Platinum Sport 1000 in your list.
Yes, it's a wire in dual installation.
Yes, you keep cruise control
Yes, you keep VSA (even though its useless and not illegal to disable)
I get the opinion on this forum, especially in this thread that people do MINIMAL actual research (apart from trolling) and are hardly willing to spend more than 1k on any aspect of modifications.
Maybe best to "ask E-Bay" which ecu to use?
If anyone is serious about doing any ecu work, CHIN THE FK UP! And run a dual system.
FORGET VSA, FORGET CRUISE CONTROL
I dont care about vsa or cruise to be honest i just got told i may get alternatives for next to nothing. I was aboit to get kpro but got told to wait and good things may happen
there won't be any good things or alternatives, forget this, nobody wants to invest in small market. OEM CL9 ECU don't have full CAN bus support, so there won't be such solutions like Flashpro for TSX 07-08. I had a long chat with Doug from Hondata. My suggestion take K-Pro and you would be more then happy, easy to tune, good tuner community and etc. If you want I can sell my spare kit for CL9 all plug and play :)
So i found a turbo at my uncles house. its from a 1993 lancer gsr. what you think running about 8psi? will be getting it reconditioned though. just want about 220kw.
anyone know where to get a manifold or will i need to get a custome one looking for a sidewinder not at the back.
should i worry about internals on such low boost. IE pistons
Funnily enough there's turbo manifolds for k24 on eBay, else you are looking at a custom jobbie. But either way you are looking at quite a bit of custom piping.
EDIT, else look for : JVT K series top mount cast manifold
Low psi should be good, you'd probably want something with low lag... I have doubts about putting a 20yo turbo in there. Having an old turbo reconditioned in a shop vs buying a new one, A new turbocharger dont cost all that much to be honest, it's more about picking the correct one. http://www.turboneticsinc.com/choose_turbocharger
Ps: it's been done before.

A new T04E turbo is only $700 odd dollars with ball bearing.
Now I wonder how much HP/TQ a frankinstein motor makes
well its pretty interesting if you have the dosh. Do you go for low down torque with a smallish turbo or do you go bigger and have that big midrange and some top end....or the big turbo for that big hit up top.
You can get cheaper turbos then the official garrett stuff nowadays. They are copies but for the price you really cant knock them as they do the job still. Cheaper then buying a "brand" name turbo and getting it rebuilt.
Well for 300 hp (220KW) Marquee wanted @ 8psi, you'll need something like the T04E... it;s not a "small" turbo per-se is it? (thats actually a question, im no expert of snail sizes)
I couldnt imagine a T04E would be terribly expansive, a lot of Skyline folkes run them so theres plenty on the 2nd hand market.
yeah but what kind of 220kw? at the wheels or the flywheel? i think if your going to go to the expense of putting a turbo on the euro, you might as well put something thats not from a decade ago in terms of design and engineering.
Yer his got a t04e as well but its brand new he wants 500 for it might get that. Just means i will need to sell all the parts already on the car
Assuming flash pro works in my car do you reckon it will be suffice or should get kpro
Afaik they both support turbo applications.
Ps... You might wanna get a LSD
Yer i know they both will.
Yer lsd is at the shop waiting for me to buy. They keeping it for me
Hey someone's selling a whole kit
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthr...Brakes-EG6-ITR
Yer i noticed that but i want a sidewinder kit and that requires custom
^ so does the sidewinder when used on a CL9 or TSX
Yer i know that was my point i no kit is a sidewinder (which is what i want). So it has to be custom im not spending all that money so it can't be seen. Engine bay when popped everything is on show when not popped no one can see.
It's a tonne of work to fit a side wonder style kit to a CL9/TSX.
That fuse box, needs to be moved,
Wiring for injectors, coil packs, VTC all need to be extended.
Piping for FMIC will be extensively hard, there is zero space to run it (unless you go boot mount battery and don't mind drilling big holes in the car)
Hmm need some cash so car may be for sale as of tonight need to work a few things out
Hey guys, i dont want to start a new thread, just wanted to see if anyone has heard or had any experience with HURRICANE extractors (4-1)
link: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HONDA-ACC...#ht_1112wt_952
I doubt many people have it, considering the popularity of WP-R and DC/topspeed/xforce/OBX headers.
Here is my bit to keep this thread going as its being forgotten a little...
Car is lux Euro 03 model, manual
Mods and a mini review on them:
Engine Mods
-K&N CAI
-HURRICANE HEADERS
Suspension Mods
-PEDDERS SPRINGS
Review thus far:
K&N Cold intake- Was a bit fiddly to install as i didnt want to take off my front bar. Got it done in an hour. First impressions, car is louder when on the throttle 80% or more. Adds a bit of grunt to the car. Notice an improvement in acceleration as well. At first, car was a bit sluggish at low rpms but i think the ecu needed time to get used to extra cold air coming in, but after one or two days, all positive. ++
Hurricane Headers-I bought this purely because i didnt know where to find decent headers that will cost me around 600 dollar mark, paying any more is ridiculous in my opinion. Tried doing a bit of research on this brand but only found positive reviews by ford and holden drivers. After being quoted 1300 for a good brand i thought ill take a risk and go for cheap HURRICANE. Turns out they are not bad at all. No leaks as few suggested. And again, improved response as well as top end. Very happy, and with fitting it cost me 540 all up. ++ (my cat is still standard)
Pedders Springs In my time driving turbo cars, i had s15 and skyline, and both had coilovers that were stiff and i wasnt a big fan. In fact after a while, using them in my daily, i started to hate them. Eventually swapped them for lovells springs which i was more happy with. So to sum it up, Pedders gives you a bit of looks with very similar to standard ride. Not stiff etc. happy ++ (
*lastly, just bought GREDDY ULTIMATE-tune is 28th jan. REVIEW will be up when its done! :)
Adz
Got greddy ultimate installed and tuned last night at edge motorworks in campbellfield. Tuner being cihan.
Im very happy with results, very very similar to hondata minus all the issues. Powercurve is much much smoother, vtec engages at 5k but the modrange is so good that the vtec engagement is not as obvious as with standard ecu.
Highly recommended. Will post graph of the dyno soon and a video of car doing 0-130km take off!
Adz
I wanna see the graph
So i thought id put my demods. Sway bar off and intake back in
Im still waiting for the tuner (he's really busy) to email me a copy of the dyno graph. Meanwhile, i have uploaded the video on youtube of 0-130km.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dg38c...ature=youtu.be
Is it an auto?
whats with the VSA light?
-Its a manual.
-And normally if im thrashing the car i switch traction control off. Should have left it on for this video but i forgot.
Not too bad for NA. What power did you make?
I'll be at 200km by that time
J's racin build?
Lol $$$$$$$$$
haha single titanium exhaust arriving on th 8th of Feb :)
Haha nah just changing themes :)
Trying to ship a J's Racing Front Bumper with Aero Canards... but shipping is a bitch price + time wise...
do you still have your auto?
yeah I do LoL
And here is the dyno graph as promised. His dyno numbers are a tad low but nevertheless you are able to compare before and after. Feel free to comment

Blue= Headers and intake with Gredy ultimate
Gonna revive this.... Thread.
thing I look forwards to do in the near future:
Ez-lips front and side:
Saw on the photos of the recent Euro meet in Sydney some folks are rocking ez-lips on their car, and to me it actually looks pretty decent.
- Anyone here that actually use them have any feedback?
Blox/P2R IM and TB heatshield gasket.
Was thinking about a Tb spacer. Canned it after looking at the dyno figures on the TSX. it makes 1hp over heat gaskets... Meh.I'll take heat gasket and the 3hp it bring atw.
New (DIY) ground kit:
The current HKS ground kit simply isn't long enough to cover all the points I want it to cover (still missing a transmission link for example). And the short length means the engine bay is messy. Will probably make some DIY wires to suit
I plan to have the ground wires connect to:
1. Throttle body
2. Transmission
3. Engine block
4. engine mount area
Light weight pulley:
Still toying with this idea... it'll be stock-ish size, if anything I'll buy the T1R K20 pulley due to its solid design. No holes, no cuts.
Rims
As you can tell from my part list, my euro is anything BUT jdm..... USDM if anything.... I figured why not continue that with new shoes, I gonna take bronze Sparco asetto gara (by OzRacing) over the usual/works that everyone else uses. Very conservative fitment of 17x7.5 +40. Will get some Sumitomo Hrt z 2's to match.
--- saves 3 lbs per corner compared to stock.
And finally.... The dreaded suspension talk.
Decided to keep an eye of for 2nd hand coilovers 1inch drop maximum... Due to the lower strut bar scraping everything .
freddy wanna come dyno day with me :D $50
I miss my euro
Golf gle 2l auto LOL.
Trying to buy find something to buy
Can i get some suggestions on what mod i should so next to my euro...
So far i have
-cai, headers, greddy ultimate.
Im thinking maybe cat? Throttle body? Vct? Suggestions please on best bang for buck. Cheers
You can't control vtc with greddy so that's out. Just get a cat
Cool, cat it is. Where is the best place to source one if anyone can suggest pls?
Heeltoeauto.com
Or Have one fabricated by a local exhaust shop.
Too easy thanks for help
