U got the auto?
Hard to get that low rumble from a cvt but it u have a good muffler and large bore exhaust u should get it.
And i don't mean a cannon, I mean a fairly restrictive one with a big Ass pipe. But that would screw your performance up. U will lose low down torque.
turbo cars get it because the turbo acts a restrcition and have a large pipe after creates that echoing low brrrrrrrr
Imo homeward don't suit that noise. U want it to scream at vtec so u would want a his silent style because that sounds great but only when revving.
But It's personal choice.
Nice! Did you feel a gain from the headers?
Cheers
yeh the headers make it feel different, but since i installed the TB and headers around same time hard to say how much of it was from the header pipes.
but definately notice that all the pull is closer to 3800rpm as opposed to 3300rpm, and theres more pull aswell.
Oh wow! Might do that for the next mod!
yeh obx headers are good value. cost me like 100bux to install. and they are pretty cheap off ebay too, so its better then 600bux for mugen or xforce ones. and ontop of that they look MINT!!! gold welds=orgasm
Wow sick! was it perfect fitment ( direct bolt on )? I'm real keen :)...PM me please ! Yes, gold...yum
i was running mugen header+ mugen titanium exhaust difference was unreal.cant believe 1.5 vtec was fun to play with as well : )
Nice! ever get dyno results? Recently got a spoon n1 axleback for the jazz...a bit OP mostly considering its the wifeyz car lol ( got it cheap though )
Yeah i heard it frees up the exhaust a bit...don't really notice it tbh, well you can't unless your very sensitive anyways.
Its not that loud as well and has a really good tone to it . surprised but maybe cause the rest is the stock system, sounds better then my dc2
yeh, i think it was.
the original exhaust manifold gasket is compressed steel, and the exhaust bloke said the hardest part was taking the old one off and out, since theres little room in the engine bay its hard to get the old headers out of the way, turns out they come out from the top after removing the cables n stuff. he didnt say it was hard to fit the new ones, so i would say its very bolt on. only problem is u lose your heatshield, and the headers let a fair bit into the engine bay. but i have a dash scoop coming to let more air in to balance the situation.
some nice mods in here. does anyone know where i could get some springs for gd3?
ebay!! and try the teamozjazz facebook and ask on the wall. ppl there selling stuff commonly
got T1R Bmax coilovers put in. they are just wayyyyyyyyyy tooo firm, but i like the low.
could swap the springs out with some kings or something then re install it.
Seeing that you're from melb too I suggest inboxing "stndrd" as he can get springs quiet easily as well as coilovers if you're willing to spend some more.
By the way what's the softest coilovers around? Right now I'm running Advance Coilovers they're hella stiff! I'm not too sure about the spring rates. Would swapping springs be an option for making my coilovers less stiff?
yes, u can swap them then just re adjust the height to suit. depending on design and how much adjustment there is u could even put original springs back on, and still lower it.
in theory but it would probably be quite hard as the springs are large. but maybe get some softer king springs and drop them in.
is anyone sitting low with their jazzes? when i mean low, i mean <100mm at least!
Can anyone hook us up with some cai options? Or maybe a gruppem whatever one? Something like that?
diy bro. but move the battery!
or u could use the AEM one on ebay its like 60bux
Just got a turbo kit shipped from taiwan for my mrs' jazz.
ehh, make sure the springs dont have any pre tension. take a picture of the strut style and show me. also try throwing softer spring in there which or nearly as short as the ones that come on it.
how much was it? ive seen the turbo kit around that costs about 1000bucks + shipping, looked decent.
Raising the car up higher does help with ride comfort. Because the shocks will have more room to absorb shock when you go over humps and things if you know what i mean. Swapping softer springs will help i guess? I was planning on that but haven't gotten around to it...
WHAT?!?! 1K for a full kit!? I'm damn interested!! Will be turbo'ing my jazz as soon as im off P's or will be switching to a already turbo'd car from factory.
Wonder if jazz can handle supercharge turbo just like the current audi S4's
Would love to do it if i have the money when im off p's
a turbo and supercharge setup be too expensive. lancia did it on one of their cars but it is like HEY LOOK AT ME WE DID IT. better off one or the other. or else it becomes complicated and space consuming.
