can the bs please stop being posted in my thread. seriously has nothing to do with MY car at all. and for all who wants to no its being tuned at the end of the week, more pics should be available tonight of the finished exhuast and car back on all fours
It is about YOUR car cause we're talkin about YOUR airflow through the front of YOUR car with YOUR turbo setup and YOUR current air/heat management configuration.
I hope YOU appreciate the time that muzz went to to type that info cause he knows alot more then YOU.
my 2 cents.
no its not as i said im not looking into it that much atm, if i am having issues i will look at it when it arrouses, as i said before i want the car going that is my aim atm not wasting my time doing airflow shits when its not needed, yes it could be imporved but NO I AM NOT LOOKING IT INTO AT THIS TIME AS I STATED THE FIRST TIME YOU BROUGHT IT UP.
and your not even specifying my car any more you are just general talking about it, like i said go make ur own thread for it, its good tech, but its not about MY CAR's topic.
Mod Pm'd :)
ooooooo he dobbed on us. lol
Any more pics of your car? Any closer pics of the engine bay?
like i said should have new pics tonight with the car sitting back on its wheels and the whole exhuast made. well thats the aim for tonight anyway, see how we go, then the only thing left is water cooling lines for the turbo and then she will be sitting waiting for dave to come up
Hey Aza, i tied to send a pm but your inbox is full. Ill try again tomorrow. cheers
nice work az cant wait to see her running! and good work to the people on this thred who go to efford to post up good posts with insightfull info!
god dam this cars annoying lol, its so friggan close, passenger side is all back together and ready for the wheel to go back on but im having problems with replacing a cv boot on the other cv, im annoyed im thinking of just utting the broken boot back on lol.... ganna ring honda in the morning see if i can get a proper cv boot for her.
no pics as i couldnt be ****ed, exhuast is close will be defantl finished by tommorow. oil and water cooler should be done soon to. i will post pics when theres decent progress
i got new boots from autobarn for my sss for $9 each, go get some they will take a few days to come though, should have done it ages ago dude, dont skimp outerwise your cv will be farked soon enough.
ahhhh i got new boot for it, it dont fit, they dont make Honda boots, so u have to try to use universal ones and they dont fit very well, im ganna give honda a ring and try to see if i can get a boot through them
You tried Coventry Parts? They have a huge range and stock. Plus very good prices compared to repco.

They've actually been around for a while. But they seem to be making a bit of a publicity push recently. They have quite a lot of stores around the place.
found some at austrlian cv's at slacks creek, ha they are they guys who sell to honda parts at springwood, 22$ for a cv made for an EK civic. compared to 138$ honda parts sell them for...
nice work, just saved yourself $116, on a $22 dollar part lol.
yea :D means that the car should be back on all four wheels tonight and as long as i get all the connections for the turbo cooling i will put the WHOLE car back together (bumper and bonnet mainly ha) :D, should have some nice update pics tonight ;)
Cant wait dude
lets just say tonight ALL the pieces of the car will be one again :)
ha still waiting on dave to tell me when hes coming up to tune it though... trying to find an answer on that today

He still has to do abit more work to actually have it running properly.
Nice man. Well done. See you out Jimboomba way sometime.

its on site relavant to it
this one, d-series.org, turbod16, o and cruising brisbane.
had a bit of a set back tonight, shes of the road again and two of the rocker cover bolts snapped, so tommorow night pulling apart abit of the head ftw to easy out them out. ganna be a ****ing pain in the ass, i am focking pissed off at the moment!!!!!
did get the vaccum lines in the intake though, as soon as we got the head back together we should be able to finish the rest of the little things for dyno dave. but like i said pain in the ass job lies ahead
g/l man, i friggin hate havin to easy-out.
specially when they dont work well :(
got them out in about 5 min :D well my older bro did, friggan love that guy, he just wiggled them inside the thread then just kept turning them slowly around till they came out, using a scribe
good stuff mate, ur bro seems like a pretty handy guy to have round at times like this. lucky it wasnt something more torqued like a head bolt
fk that. lol. then it's tap & die or new head time!
btw, hav u got pics of the zorst?

That exhaust is a work of art. who did it?
should have just went under axle save a few bends haha
car looking good
wheres ur O2 sensor plug in now?
Yeah im also interested in who did your exhaust. Was it a home job? Im considering hiring a mig welder for a week while im on holidays and practicing for 3-5 hours each day and maby trying my hand at doing my own exhaust/downpipe etc. I can get 3" stainless steel tubing for basically nothing, and can order all the necisary flanges, resonators, cats, o2 bungs, hangers and some 3" donuts to chop up and use for the bends etc.
under axle would of got smashed off in a day, cars already low enough, over ftw.
my brother did the exhuast, he has done a fair few now so he is getting prett good, welding isnt half bad to... and o2 sensor.... whats that :D haha nuah jk when the hondata is tuned right it wont need an o2 sensor so it isnt plugged in (i also dont have the right 02 sensor for the wiring harness)
well i had abit of an accident on saturday so fixing the damage for that and finishing off the little things on the engine is very stress ful atm, im rushed for time (might have to throw a sicky tommorow!).
basictly the thread on my lower ball joint is rooted and the bolt came off calapsing my front drivers side tyre at around 100km. damage includes:
****ed cv
tie rod end rooted
lower ball joint rooted
panel with slight dints (when tyre calapsed)
i have got all the parts to fix it now and should be fixed tonight, the car will now be getting some new front end panels (as the other to werent that great anyway) and the whole car will be recieving a respray once my financial situation is good again. for now i will just beat the small dints out as best i can.
also recieved the intake manifold gasket (thanks jdmyard) so i will replace this tonight.
car WILL be tuned by the end of the week (dave gets up here tommorow)
cant wait for this to all be over :)
Damn man how come the thread was rooted???
i dont no, but yeah had a look after i got it back home and it was rooted, the car is 12 years old could of just been wear and tear
Maybe it wasn't done up properly and had some movement. Thats the only real way to root the thread.
acturlly there are many ways to root the thread. my car is a very rough ride, even that over time would do wear and tear to all the ball joints etc. anyway no reason discussing why it happened, it has, just need to deal with it and fix it.
i'd do the other side aswell man
well yeah there is a point to discuss is so it doesn't happen again. lol
My car's 12 years old, has stiff sussy (stiffer then yours) so it'd be good to sus out whats goin on.
haha come around and feel how stiff mine is, i doubt urs is stiffer. but everyone i have talked to about it had told me it would of just been wear and tear, bad chamber, shit like that, this car with the previous owner has no coils in it at one stage, i bet that would of gave them a hammering (i found this out after i bought the car ha he posted it on a forum). Like i said theres so many things that could of been the cuase of it. cars def getting a wheel allightment after its back on the road
K-sport coilovers 11kgmm front 7kgmm rear with stiff damper in a car that weighs under 950 kgs....
hey mate word of advice about posting your car on to many forums
i dont think its a good idea to list the finner details of our cars on internet forums as thieves aswell patrol these forums as you would have heard many times before.
the other thing about having it on to many sites is that if it was stolen it would be harder to track the thieve cause they could have come from anywhere
just my thoughts and thats why you wont find to many pictures of my car that have been posted by me
Smart man. ^^^. Or just simple common sense.
or just over paranoid, i dont see the problem with it, i dont think most criminals are smart enough to find a car on the web that they like and track it down. be easier for them to walk around there local tow rag hang out and find a car they like there and steel it. i dont think saying my car falls apart is a selling comment either ha.
just curious, why are you driving it around?
To be an attention seeker
lol
jks :p
to get to work. dave said its safe for me to drive as long as i dont boost it, which i havnt, i havnt even heard my bov once with this new turbo/engine :(
ps car is pretty much back together, ganna change the IM gasket tonight, then should be ready to be tuned tommorow :D
just open the waste gate all the way and you should be fine to drive it as a regular NA car.
nuah i have control i can just change gears before it starts spooling, only like a day to go till its all tuned anyway :D
i have gone 2 weeks without boosting it im sure i can last another day
how it sits.... Dave this is hinting to u ;) (look at file name)
http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c1...neready003.jpg
http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c1...neready001.jpg
and this is the panel damage to her :( (yes i class this as very bad, getting onto the respray asap!)
http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c1...neready005.jpg
howcome ur grill stays without ur bumper?
there's clips on top that also hold it in place
