it's 5:30 now i want results!! :)))))
its 6 o clock now :) .........................................
hehehe patience boys patience... he's just cooking dinner :p lol
i know the result :D but i wont steal his thunder! i actually really want to see the dyno sheet and compare with mine :)
 CONGRATS RUS! :D
second fastest euro in Canberra lol
Soon soon im cooking a curry. It take time. Also I want to write it up properly. Might make a dedicated thread...
hehe you and i need to go up to sydney for one... i still maintain that ultimate tunes dyno reads lower than everywhere else... we'd have atelast another 10kw's! :p lol
use this one:
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthr...t=70781&page=2
:D
where do you guys get your dyno done? i might come and do a stock dyno for compassions sake.
hm, my guess is 120kw atw!
lol why did you change your guess? who else is sitting on this forum waiting?
+/-125kw my estimate.
are you finished eating yet? lol
dyno result here :)
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthr...t=70781&page=2
See the proper Dyno thread but it was 118kwatw and 188nm. I was hoping for more but this dyno reads reliably not optimistically so ive been told. Im told by yours truly above that a stock euro got 102kwatw on the same dyno. So a approx 16kw gain isnt bad. Feels like more when you drive it cause the mid range is fatter in my car. Not peaky as you might expect.

Heres an idea. Only $249 USD plus unknown ship. I have emailed them about shipping..

Very nicely priced exhaust http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TSUDO-04-07-ACURA-TSX-CATBACK-EXHAUST-DUAL_W0QQitemZ290254747173QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item 290254747173&_trkparms=39%3A1|65%3A3|240%3A1318&_t rksid=p4506.c0.m245

the price is right! Apparently the same as skunk2 but I dont want it too loud.
Anyone heard of this exhaust?
or
looks nice... but i dont like canon exhausts... too rice boy for me...
try this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CompT...mZ140244075890
however, shipping to aus is very pricey for something like that anywhere between $400-1000 :(
Love to get a local custom exhaust but if they **** it up and its a loud fart machine id be pissed as.
That exhaust looks like it'd be LOUD
Or keep it stock? haha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbJiFuYCnLA
i asked tsudo exhaust the shipping to australia will be $500+ :( thats y change mind
hehehe speaking of exhausts...
heres one i purchased earlier :p
http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/f...F2155Large.jpg
hahaha i think i had that exact same reaction when it arrived today lol :p
damn you know euro's way to well lol naming parts by sight!
hehehe yeah ill probably install it next week some time, im taking it in to my mate Eric @ custom fabrications to die-grind out the flange at the cat. converter end... its only a 51mm opening when the rest of the piping is 60mm... im guessing its because it was designed to mate with the smaller stock flange, but my TODA test pipe (with metal cat.) has 60mm flange :D
lol then ill post videos :thumbsup:
wow looks good!
cant wait for vids hehe
Man thats a sweet loking exhaust. Whats it sound like? Expensive?
What did you guys think of my dyno result?
comptech's back into business now?
have been for a while they go under ct engineering now
http://www.ct-engineering.com/
Back to other mods I can land this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...AQ:MOTORS:1123
For $762 landed Plus $583 installed at ultimate tune. So $1345 for a Exedy Stage 1 plus HF02 8.9lb flywheel.!
What you reckon Aarron?
Damn, $583 for install is very cheap!
So aarron now you have your flywheel and clutch for a bit can you comment on day to day driveability?
Im going to be doing the commute after 8 years of working from home.
Any issue in traffic?
No issues. I like it. Just make sure you use a bit more throttle to get off the line, otherwise the revs drop when you release the clutch. No problem with going uphill (actually better than stock flywheel). Revs drop quicker when I clutch in, so it matches my shifting style. No need to wait for the revs to drop anymore.
Mr suntzu,
quick Q 4 U.
you know how you changed your CAT right, did you find your exhaust fumes smell a bit more? or still pretty much the same.
No smell. None. Check the fitting before you become even more tarded! Lol
Now EuroACT talking me in RBC instead of flywheel...me confused
nah, i think it's cause my CAT is 200cell hence why it stinks more.
but mainly during the morning when i first start car when cold.
DO IT, after i pay parents back for hosp bill i'll get my fly + clutch.
haha i didnt say dont get flywheel and clutch ;) hahaha
get both! lol i wanna get TODA flywheel :) and 4.7 FD... mmmmmmm launching
Still looking at options...
Can you tell me if a stock RBC will fit straight on our cars? And if i get a bigger throttle boddy does the RBC need to be modified then?
Heres a good RBC - Ported out to 65MM
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PORTE...spagenameZWDVW
And heres a another one pre-modified for a k20:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CvcSi...mZ140260353162
Do I need to avoide the premodified ones? Can you see any advantage paying the extra $100 for the ported RBC if using a stock throttle body?
And lastly will my Icebox fit the RBC or do i need a custom intake?
Thanks guys.
RBC is direct bolt on... all you need to do is tap in a 4mm nipple for the vacuum line :)
as for using J32 throttle body, the RBC or RBB (which ever your using) will require some welding (idle bypass valve) and the TB will require a MAP sensor hole to be filled...
all easy mods...
Cool so the "nipple job: LOL is pretty straight forward. Might have a looky when i have a squiz at your front lip.
You think the ported RBC as per my link is worth the extra $. looks nice.
The ebay dude just got back to me. hes been really helpful.
He says: ( when i told him ihave drive by wire K24a)
"In that case, you won't need the throttle body adapter, you won't need the modification for going onto a K20 head, you won't need the extra Gasket between the adapter and the throttle cable throttle body, you won't need the replacement vacuum line since you already have the correct one, and you won't need the hardware to bolt the adapter on. Looks like all you need is:
RBC manifold unmodified
Extra Gasket between your throttlebody and manifold incase yours rips when removing
I can do $200 plus shipping for what you need.
Shipping will be a bit less with the lower weight:
$73 for 6-10 day Priority Mail International
and
$88 for 5 day Express Mail International "
Does that sound alrgith to you? Thats about $300 or so landed. And I just need to then do the nipple mod yeah?
Not worth porting if i dont have the Bigger throttle body yet you reckon????
Might take you up on that offer justin! Cheers mate
DOOOOOOOOOO IIIIIIIITTTTT!!
lol that sounds like the exact same guy i got mine off! lol he normally mods them to fit integras... top bloke, spoke to him a few times, he knows alot about k-series...
yeah thats good price, about the same as mine costed i think. yeah only mod youll need is the nipple (i can do for you) and two bolts for the TB (i can sell you those :p) lol
Cool. So ill get this. And you will kindly help me with the nipple engagement and ill buy a few parts off ya.
Not worth porting the unit until I pony up for the throttle body yes?
Im guessing the porting is just to make the 66mm TB fit a 60mm intake hole in the RBC?

correctomundo! except i think RBC is 62mm (K20A uses 62mm TB?)... either way 60 or 62, yes we'll port out to 66mm after you get J32A3 so we can port match them perfectly! no lips, no gaps, just smooth aluminium! :D
Less talk and BUY THE RBC MANIFOLD!!!
Have you heard me and Justin complain negatively on iy yet? :D :D :D
Ok. Im on it. Might get the larger TB while im at it and do the lot..
Ebay RBC guy just got back to me again. i asked if he has the Larger TL04+ throttle Body
He replies:
"Sorry, I don't carry throttlebody because they haven't proven to do anything for anyone under 260whp. Yes, that's with porting the RBC to match.
I do have the RBC plastic cover, new from Honda I paid $61 for it, just for my RBC customers.
Let me know when you're ready.
Thanks,
Daniel"
So for the $280 USD i might just get that RBC and worry about the Throttle Body when Ive done Cams and stuff in the future. Make sit a cost effective mod actually.
damn if u get that engine cover for $61 ull be laughing!
mine ended up costing nearly as much as my RBC! :(
Really is $61 US cheap for the cover?
In that case ill order the RBC plus cover. Keep my existing TB for now. Might need you to show me how to do th npple.
Im guessing drill int he right spot and fit the nipple. Where do you buy the nipple from?
You reckon the comptech icebox will reach the new TB position or is it moved a lot?
lol hmm this sounds good haha, maybe my intake will fit better lolol
yups, i am tempted to buy the RBC.... sigh.
In the mean time i want to get the P2R Throttle Body Spacer but I see it listed for 2006+ TSX, so will it fit our cars?
You got one haven't you Justin? Wheres a good place to buy?
buy the 06+ Civic SI
the TSX one doesn't come with the rectangular cut out as mentioned in justin's thread, so in result it will cause bouncing revs and leak as there will be a hole you can't block off.
i will take a photo tomorrow and show you.
This one http://www.corsportusa.com/store/cat...oducts_id=1888
You bought the wrong one? Is that why you have one for sale?
yeh thats the right one.
you can see the rectangular cut out.
it stuffed me over cause the site said the TSX/Civic SI was using the same TB spacer.
but they didnt.
make sure you get the P305R/B/G series (letter stands for colour)
Don't get P309R/B/G/s whatever colour <--- 309 is the TSX series.
And if later I buy a TL Throttle Body im guessing this wont fit anymore? That would suck.
Im going to do this P2R spacer + Hondata Headshield gasket ( already got one) and throttle body bypass.
Then i revisit RBC.
Wheres the best vendor to buy online you reckon?
Sorry i am not sure about the TL TB, i'll check it out.
The RBC should work fine with the civic SI TB spacer + tb gasket.
P2R stuff you can contact P2r themselves directly (www.powerrevracing.com/store).
Spacer can be sourced from Ebay. tb gasket from ebay too.
or you can try K20atuned.com <--- if justin doesn't sell me one, i will source my RBC from them.
you should be able to mod it to fit... i was able to mod my K&N intake to fit, it just puts more bends for the air to try get past, not optimum for power :(
same as above buddy, ill just have a look and we'll try make up a new elbow or something...
if you dont want to fork out the money for a P309, keep your P305 and once you have modded RBC by me and J32A3 TB, youll be able to use that spacer no problems! (my modded RBC has the idlebypass welded shut)
Can you explain to a stupid person like me ho that works. So I contacted the Power Rev and they do ship so im ordering.
I fit it to my RBB or maybe the RBC when I get it. Then it goes on my 60mm TB. Now I'm gunna assume the that the hole in the Spacer is 60mm?
So then I fit a 64mm modded TB bought from you and isn't it going to hit the lip of the 60mm spacer? It a 4mm lip around the inside?
Im commiting by the way guys. Im going for RBC, Spacer, TB Gasket, Hondata gasket and TB bypass all at once with Justins help of course. Or as I like to call it "taking J PIS Motorsport"
manifold > Tb gasket > tb spacer > stock tb gasket >TB
depending on what model, there will be a lip about 4mm diameter larger, can cause turbulence <--- i think should wait for justin to correct me but.
are you going to get the P2R K24 IM head gasket too?
http://www.corsportusa.com/store/cat...0K24%20Img.jpg
Yes I just asked for a shipping quote on the p2r gasket and spacer for Civic si as per your instructions.
I want to make sure i can use the RBC and larger TB in the future with the gasket before i commit as otherwise its not a cost effective mod.
Quote from P2R direct:
$79.99 for spacer
$27.00 Shipping
$22.99 for each tb gasket
$34.99 for Intake manifold Gasket
Im getting it. Not the Intake manifold though as I have hondata.
yeh sounds about right.
While im buying up what do you reckon about these underdrive pulleys?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ralco...spagenameZWDVW
any good?
they claim 15+ hp gain... either theyre being very generous in their claims... or those pulleys crazy underdrive the system... you dont want the second one for a daily driver...
theyre nice and cheap, but never heard of the brand... dont forget ontop of them tho u have to by new timing belt approx$80-100 and get it installed approx$150-250...
i have the nst pulleys, where it has an overdrive alternater and underdrive crank pulley.
there were dynos on it the tsxclub forums i think, or the other one haha
my car is a daily driver and so far its fine, nothing bad =D
gains are good too, but i installed my header shortly after so i kinda forget how it was
link to thread
those RZ are the alternator/power steering and crankshaft pulley.
similiar design and build to the UR pulley set except the UR is generally lighter.
one of the ozhondaians have compared them RZ vs UR, try search for the thread.
is it worth the gain?
hmmm prob not, but noticeably the PS and driving with A/C feels piss easy now and less struggle.
timing belt will cost you approx < $80.
extra note UNDERDRIVE; however i wouldn't be using these if you got a pumped up sound system.
I have had UR pulleys in my car for half a year now. I got full audio system installed. There is nothing wrong with alternator pulley...its recharging like normal. but...now my steering wheel start to have clicking sound and all when turn...I could notice it when car is at station and I turn the wheel...
indicators are not on, actually with aircond on and off..doesnt really matter...my power steering makes clinking noises. sometimes its loud sometimes its not..its just annoying noise every time I turn the wheel. never had it before pulleys installed. BTW I could notice the gain.. but not much though.
