Personally I would go for Amuse R1 Titan Euro, sounds great and dosn't look like a Cannon
Enjoy! :)
Daym you did them all seperatly lol must have took awhile linking everything.
There's a full clip of all of them on youtube.
Btw that J's exhaust is the old version the new one looks differnt and sounds differnt.
In that clip the J's one is my favorite, sounds like a race car :D
That was excellent I had a look at those exhausts. I've been doing some research and I can't find how much each increases performance. Do you have any suggestions as to where I can find this information? I'm really interested in the Mugen sports Exhaust, the Fujitsubo Legalis and the Amuse Titan Euro so far. Leaning towards Mugen because I like the sound however, I need to strike a balance between performance and sound/loudness, and also I need to consider that it is suitable for future modifications to the car.
Yes I'm a noob, shut up, leave me alone.
I went to JDM yard in Syd, they suggested maybe Fujitsubo Legalis. Thoughts?
www.s2000library.com was awesome. Had all the exhaust clips, but last time I checked, it was no longer online. :(
Mugen exhaust is pretty exy from what i have researched.. I just bought a legalis exhaust but havent fitted it yet. Previous experience on my prelude suggests it should be awsome...
Well finally got my exhaust on... It took awhile to get here from the states but hey I didn't really mind got it for a great price.
I ended up getting a Berk Technology Dual TI exhaust with High Flow Cat. The car sounds insane with the top down but makes your ears bleed when the the top is up.
I've brought some Dynamat Extreme and will be applying that soon to see if it makes a huge difference with sound proofing. Below are some pictures... I'll take better ones later.

Loud? lucky me, I almost bought it
Good stuff mate, the berk is cheap considering its titanium very good price compared to other titanium exhaust. Hows the quality of it?
If you dont mind me asking how much did they charge for shipping? I got a quote of $250 but at the local airport so I had to pick it up, this was for a J's 70rs single, from aj racing would take about 4 - 5 days. Trying to find cheaper shipping :)
is the berk unit till ti? i thought it was only the mufflers or tips that were ti?
if its full ti then its very good value~!
The mufflers are TI the rest is stainless. I think the weight of the exhaust was around 38kgs? It's really well made, Shipping was airport to airport and around the same price from memory. Then you have to get the parts cleared which cost extra.
Shipping from USA by Vendor in s2ki generally varies from 250-300 so you won't find a cheaper quote from vendor.
Berk Exhaust only weights about 12-13 kg if I'm not wrong because there is no resonator and the use of lightweight titanium mufflers :)
^^^ Actually your probably right. I was looking at chargable weight on the shipping papers. But that is measured by the box dimensions.
The exhaust. The headers have HKS stamped all over them.
The system is on, as is the new clutch too. The exhaust sounds amazing. Very deep with an almost WRX type thump to it until around 4500RPM. Once VTEC hits, it sounds beautiful. Great quality, easy to fit too. Took about 30 mins to remove the old system and have the new one on. I did have a fair bit out already as I was doing the clutch too.
James.
Nice work James
anyone want to swap for a practically new 5zigen Dual proracer catback? after something loud...
I have a sexy amuse full titanium exhaust that im selling....
$1100.
Like you can talk when you left last night your car was insanely loud. Must have been the supercharger. :p
Hahaha feel my pain... it sounds pretty cool outside of the car though! Dynamat came in today so it's going to be a busy weekend!
Hey guys,
Anyone have any experience or heard anything about the 5zigen A-spec Pro racer dual exhaust??? Only thing I know is that its pretty quiet.
Hey guys i saw the video posted earlier in this thread. I'm very interested in the Mugen exhaust that they showed, however, I don't know the model number or even the name of the exhaust. I did a search and found one regarding an AP2 but I've got an AP1. Can anyone lead me in the right direction? Namely the name of the freakin exhaust. I want to find out how much it costs and see what gains there are (as little as that may be).
Does it matter if an AP2 exhaust is on an AP1?
I'm currently in the process of working out the modifications I want and pricing so I can set a goal and budget.
Oh and lucedrs if you're reading this... thanks for hooking me up with the clutch.
AP2 and AP1 same thing, only the 06+ is slightly different.
There's a whole bunch of sound clips on youtube.
Here's a moving one

Here's some pics of the old and new version.

As for gains, no dual exhaust is going to give much of a gain in power.

parkes: any video clip of berk?
No video clip.
The noise from the exhaust makes the camera shake, and lens break. :p
vyets,
So is that the new Mugen vs the old Mugen exhaust? Do they have specific names or item#? Want to do more research on them including price etc.
And secondly, no gains? WTF? I'll just stay stock because I like the quiet sound and I can save money.
Btw, great post, very helpful. You are legend.
There's a old type mugen exhaust and a new type they look different don't know anything else. Haven't really looked into them because I'm not a fan. If you want power go 70mm single exhaust, most duals will give you crap to no gains. And if you ever want to upgrade too F.I you can keep it! Most 70mm are loud except the t1r LM dolphin dip which is what I want. It's very ugly but LOL
There's Berk Exhaust clips on youtube eritkufa
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Cs6tbXftYc
I know it's running a TP and header, but it'll give a rough idea.
how much are the TODA dual dolphin exhausts? are these loud?
Thought I'd bump this thread.
What are people running 5 years down the track?
I've got a Hi-Tech one.
Running the T1R70REM....looking for 70mm ASM single now..
I'm thinking of selling up and getting something single and obnoxiously loud...
I've got a 70mm Spoon street single, 70mm Tracy Sport single or J's 70RS Ti Single if anyone is interested in buying any of them, hit me up!
I like cars with dual exhausts
I came to the same conclusion. When I went turbo I just had a 75mm single. It was loud and obnoxious in both sound and appearance.
The Invidia V3 twin with a larger mid damper is the ideal exhaust for my set up.
i just got twin varex 4" cannon styles but on with a stainless 2.5" pipe conversion after the Y join. i love the sound, but there is a bit of drone on the low rpm with it fully open. I normally just have it 30% open for daily.
HKS Hi Flow
From tuning a few f20c with and without exhaust the conclusion is the factory OEM exhaust flows very well. I've seen the HKS HIFLOW (pm if you want to buy it, its done less then 500km) exhaust which has the same diameter piping as AP2 exhaust, slightly bigger piping Y pipes and round cannon like mufflers.
If you want noise then yeah go ahead and spend 1-1.5k on a aftermarket exhaust. The factory exhaust are well tuned and are capable of flowing with engine making up too 300kw atw (FI).
have a J's racing 70 rs duel.
you want quiet, put the silencers in.... or buy a toyota echo.
if you buying an exhaust for the look its a bit of a waste.... you buy an exhaust for power increase.
run a nice exhaust and run silencers for the street if u want to be quiet.
my old skunk 2 use to set off car alarms.... but put silencers in and was not bad at all.
T1r make a nice exhaust... but for some reason i like J's
fatboyz i have never seen a stock exhaust flow that well with a tune... i must have a shitty tuner.... i'd love to see dyno sheets if you have any?
i feel that the stock exhaust was VERY restrictive.... and the stock cat!... that must go IMO.... run a berk 70mm or if track use just a TP.... thats where you gain some good power... and then if u tune also, you will be surprised...
Then you should have bought a single :P
Stock S2000 Exhaust flows very well which is why alot of aftermarket exhaust out there struggle to make much more power then the stock setup. Didn't think it would be able to handle upto 300kw but now you got me interested, pig power setup but with stock exhaust is quite the sleeper.
i wanted to go single but every talked me out of it because they said that its stoll going to be a street car and to keep it looking somewhat oriiginal.. not have the AP2 bumper with one massive hole in it... i didnt care but everyone made me do it... i fell for their BS... worst mistake ever!!!!
buddyclub spec 4 single
sounds loud with Berks high flow cat and T1R header.
I had two singles. First was a Kakimoto N1. It was ear splittingly obnoxiously loud. I put a silencer in it and lost all the high flow benefits. Went back to a dual.
Then when I went turbo I was getting to the end of my budget so had a 75mm single with a cannon muffler made. And I brought a single exhaust cap back from New York to make it look better.
Eventually wised up and bought an Invidia V3 which had been modified with a big Lukey mid muffler. The thing flows, looks good and is nice and subtle when pootling around but has nice sound when I get on it.
My neighbour asked me the other day if I had sold the car as they hadn't 'heard' it in a while. ;)
nice.
been thinking of getting js racing 70RS twin.
missing that twin exhaust look

i've got js 70rs titanium single - its pretty annoyingly loud with that bad drone between 3-4k RPM, however for driving daily around local areas you can probably stay under 3k RPM and it's not too bad at all, but highway driving with this exhaust is a serious pain and i dont doubt that my ear drums are slowly getting damaged everytime im cruising around 80+ km/h
that being said, the exhaust sounds awesome when opened up and it is very light as well if weight is something you're considering
Lol, good thing I don't do much highway driving
Damn, I typed all CAPS. Guess OzHonda has a muffling filter.
This was a AP2, are AP1 and AP2 share the same diameter exhaust/mufflers besides the tips?
Stock cat (AP2) was good up too 260kw, so as i said the OEM items flows nicely. Changing the exhaust to 70mm (bigger then OEM) it will gain power on WOT, you will tend to lose some part throttle.
I've got a Fujitsubo legias r and love it. Slightly louder than stock and sounds a little deeper than stock it's a dual and looks pretty good, the only thing I don't like are the tips of the muffler could be a little shorter, I've been tempted to chop them back a little but trying to get a nice neat cut on them could be hard
