haha yeah i do :) all my door mirror trims are gettin CF and same for my custom boot. i just think it looks good. might change the colour of the CF, depends how it looks.
i got my CF front lip imported from taiwan.
i'm using Alpine iva-w502e, should be installed with my CF dash on the weekend. gonna try to hook 500gb hdd to it :D
if you guys can wait maybe wait 1 month or so, i'll get lambo doors on
lambo doors...whooooh...how much??wouldnt it look weird in a 4 door??
cf dash...how much was it btw...so its not the stick on ones from dmx obviously
nah there is whole cf replacement dash.. i think BYS makes one..
and yes lambo doors on a 4 door is overkill.. but non the less rather cool and different
thats insane... lambo doors.. damn your really going ahead with the full mods aye. how much was the front lip? pretty interested in getting one

Those rims are tight, suit your car.
Would look hot with 25% tint :)
its gettin 15 lol :)
looks hot, has it been dropped yet? or are those wheels just huuge?
Must've been lowered I guess... or the rolling diameter has increased.
But trying to imagine a lip kit on it... that would make it look quite low.
yeah, the wheel arches fill up really close with the rims, either their 20's or its been dropped =/.
yeah, a lip kit on that would look pretty sweet.
I think u can lower it abit more and still not scrub because it still looks pretty high. When do u scrub? when turning or driving?
what coils you get... and how wide are your wheels? and also what settings did you put the dampers at?
There Cusco Zero GTs. there set to as hard as they go. lol.. there 8.5 wide. the problem is there offset 40.. i really need 45 or 48... im looking for a suitable rim atm
do you reckon 9 width would fit? or is 8.5 the limit for FDs?
aaand would it be an ings kit coming?!
haha... umm maybe lol.. ummm u could fit 9 or 9.5 with the right offset.. but i dont see the need.. lol.. umm... i kno u can fit a 9.5 x 18 with a 43 offset i think..
ahh really? its just cos im looking into these work rims which are 18x8 fronts and 18x9 rears, so just wondering if it would fit without any scrubbing with a 1-2" drop lol.. gee i hope so...
i know this fits on FD2Rs.. im not sure about normal fds...
[ F 18 X 9.5J +40 / R 18 X 8.5J +43 ]
dont forget FD2R's front fenders are slightly wider than normal FDs.. so it might be can put a wider wheels and lower offsets.. =)
oh ya.. as well as the brembo brakes.. the clearance has to be count as well.. but our FD dont have brembo brakes.. so need to be calculate wisely.. =)
urgh.. so would the fronts be for the wider ones then? and the rears take the less wide ones? this is hard to figure out..
i would say 8.5 would be the max.. get 45 ofset and your laughing.
Does anyone know What a good set of brakes would be.. im thinking 6 pot fronts and 4 pot rears... somthing nice and big.. i might need it lol
lol i was lookign at XD9s... they come in a 8.5 :P
haha yeah, except this guy whos selling them in the parts for sale section here, his got his set with 18x8 and 18x9, 2 each. which is pretty lame since the 18x9 isnt going to fit my FD..
wats the ofset?
i just looked at the post... the 18x9 would fit.. just the 18x8 would not... it needs higher ofset
oh, really? ooops. lol. damn... what kind of offset is like.. the best for FDs? around 40-45?
well im not 100% sure.. but most seem to be between 45 and 52
ohh i see. hmm. cheers for the help mate.
ill have to ask a shop or something about it then.
I have been waiting to register for this forum for the past 2 weeks, and alas, finally allowed to post.
This is the 06' Civic we bought recently from a dealer, came with a few mods already
- Reverse Sensor
- Leather trim,
- Starcorp Racing 18" rims with 225/40/18 Nankang tyres.
My questions to all esepcially JaCe and Dmx as you two have done some nice mods is
Music
Jace - what's the OEM HU's like hook up to aftermarket amplifiers and speakers. Is it worth it?
I am looking to install an amp and 2 new set of speakers, looking at these for front speakers
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....MEWA:IT&ih=009
and either one of these as the amp

Where did you get your stuff installed? I was quoted something like $350 for just those at Lifestyle!
Lights
I bought some DiamondVisions from ebay, but i've read that they get really hot and not good, should i swap them for HIDs?
Tinting
What's a good % for a silver Civic? I want 20-25% but i don't know what that's like sitting inside, and or what type of color? Dark blue or Blackish?
Thanks guys
ill help you out with lights as im not so experienced in other areas you need so..
DiamondVisions - yes people have complained the philips bulbs do overheat and get way too hot for the glass casing (technical material escapes me). You dont necessarily need to go for a HID conversion kit, theres a trader here (LiquidSound), they sell MTEC halogen bulbs for a really good price and their great quality. heres a link:

hope that helped a bit.
as promised, some photos - however they're taken from Carsales as i am a bit lazy taking new ones, they look better than my photography skills anyway.

those mtec bulbs are pooh crap. I've got a set. Not even as bright as stock. Imo.
oh really? phew... i was planning on getting some because my narva parkers arent white/blue enough... looks like ill get the euroline ones off ebay then...
btw, could someone tell me which offset is perfect for a set of 18x8 or 18x7.5 rims and a 1-2" drop? i don't want to roll any guards or anything so yeah..
cheers
about +43 to +55
Wont really matter to much
ahh i see, thanks.

Mods:
- Simota SRI (heat soak bla bla dont really care sounds awesome!)
- Mugen Replica Lip Kit (doesn't everyone?)
- 18" Warwic Premium Mesh (235/40/18 tires scrub like no tomorrow)
- Tint (is a must)
- OEM Style Weather Shield Replica (not a fan of the mugen ones)
Welcome jem.
Nah, SRIs are ok! I've got a Zero-1000 TopFuel SRI.
Welcome Jem.
FD looks the goods
forget about euroline i had a set of them and they are crap too, their not even white if thats what your after. If you want the closest thing to white without going for HIDs i recommend these
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-N...Q5fAccessories
the brand is nokya, i ordered a set from this guy for my mums car and they are great. I haven't got them on the honda cos i got HIDs. Have a look through his shop is stocks all sizes. Try go for Stage 2 in this light bulb as well. A bit more expensive but worth it.
Further to my post, I want some foglights too, although the price Honda quoted me is way too expensive.
Does anyone know if ebay foglights are worth getting or any traders on here sell them?
235/40/18 scrubs? WTF?! how low is your drop? shit.... what tyres should i get if i dont want them to scrub with 18s and a 1-2" drop?
scrubs or not scrubs is depends on ur offset.. even u get 17x6.5 with 5+ offset.. it will scrubs too.. =)
soo 40 offset will scrub? damn.. cant get 35 then i guess..
my 235/40/18 +40 scrape like no tomorrow ... i hear 225 or 215s are perfect
i have a 2" drop but prior to my spring install i still had the same tires and that would still scrape
225 will scrub if you go over a ditch or bump other than that its ok.
Go 215
ah, 215 would be fine even with a drop yeah? i think the stock FD2 michellin tyres are 215/45/17 if i remember correctly, either that or 225/45/17. wow 215 would be a bumpy ride..
18" rims scrub,, it could be the lowering spring too soft, wrong offset rims,
or maybe, your car really really low
so 18s arent meant to scrub really? most likely be the offset of the rim and the tyres arent low profile enough i guess.
215 is for 7-7.5jj.. 225 is for 7.5-8jj.. 235 is for 8-8.5jj.. so depends on ur wheels..
if ur wheels is 18x8.5.. impossible u can use 215.. =)
bumpy or comfort ride is depends on the thickness of the tyre.. 35? 40? 45? 50?
as well as ur suspension setup as well.. BMW with 35 series VS normal hyundai on 40.. still BMW have more comfort.. =)
ahh i see. Geeze i didnt think it was THAT complicated lol...
sooo what does the 215, 225 etc realy mean? is it the width of the tyre? so like... 215/40/17 is 215 as width, 40 as thickness, 17 as size? orr?? wow im confused now..
18z fit fine .. its all about offset ... keeping in mind the FD2R uses 18" wheels
ah, i'll have to make sure i get some +45 or more offset then. just incase..
im planning to get 19x7.5" on 45+ offset.. save some cash.. hehe.. =)
yeahh thats pretty tempting to go for 19s, im just worried it will sit too low on the arches with a 2" drop and then scrub on the arches and front fenders..
the larger the wheel the further away the arch gets, cos the diameter of the wheel is growing... so the more u will need to drop the car to make the arch sit flush with the tire..
im on 19"s and i think i need a 2.5 - 3 inch drop to achieve my goal and that isnt even tucking.. well it might be on the tire.
btw springs dont alway drop to the suggested drop. its only an approx
oh yeah, that makes more sense now actually...
yeahh, the springs im getting suggest a 2", but from customer reviews they say its really about 1.4". hmm might just be right for 18s then. price is the only thing stopping me from going 19s now i guess.
thanks for the help mate.
u wont even notice a 1.4" drop bro... thats like a 1 finger gap...
1 finger gap between arch and tyre? thats alright.. im not looking to drop so it overlaps or anything. nothing huge... skunk2 springs so yeah... unless i can find another good brand which doesnt cost so much and can drop 2-3" ill settle with the 1.4" drop on skunk2s =/
my suggested 2inch drop is barely noticeable to most people ... just dont expect your car to be "slammed" on a set of 18" or 19" or even 20"z
but i just put my springs in last week so maybe it needs time to sag
best bet is coilovers.. its worth it in the long run.
