anyone know prices on jax for fitting+balancing a new set of tyres if i buy from them?
ahh ok. Alright cheers mate
anyone got problems with scraping under the front/rear/side bumpers? like on steep driveways etc.. its such a painful sound =[. anyway of fixing it? or is there no point since its underneath?
go slow on an angle? so like just as the wheel is coming down the slope control with the brake so wheel just gently slides down.
unless your car is that lowered that it just can't be helped just park on the side of the road
hahaha. yeah i guess so.. thanks =] ill have to be more careful.. and less lazy =.=
hows ur lambo doors coming along btw lol
uhhh ive got a weird problem....
i just noticed today under my car mats... its SOAKED.. only passenger side.. in a concentrated area.. its REALLY wet.... i dunno what the hell happened there, at first i thought it was a leaking bottle. but i checked the bottle and its full still... then i thought it was water splashing in from the fenders.. but i checked fenders and their all tight and no gaps or anything...
so now ive come to the conclusion.. its the A/C unit leaking out water... but im not sure where it is because the leakage is only in the bottom left hand side of the foot well area... and fills up about 1/2 of the whole surface area... if anyone has any ideas or had the same problem... wouldnt mind some help =]. cheers.
edit: BTW: does anyone have the MTEC halogen bulbs in for headlights on their car? and if so.. which one have u got, and are they really bright like in the pics? looking into getting a pair of these.. my narva ones are still an ugly yellowy colour =.=
MTEC bulbs are rubbish IMO... have a set of the blue ice ones (not sure of name any more)... look bling bling but can't see crap lol.
oh really? lol.. even the for the halogen low beam headlights? the pics look pretty bright.... i thought only the parkers were rubbish.. so even the low beam halogens are too?
yea. i had the mtec bulbs.. what a waste of $
but its weid. i was driving for awhile. n it became REALLY bright.
then soemtimes its dull~~ but blueish.. looks cool..
bout my wheels..
my rear right wheel has camber. while the others dont. weird.
there mite be a hole under the footwell...dont laugh as my mums mercedes benz C200 2000 model had a bolt missing so whenever it rains and in the car wash, the carpet will soak...at one time it was so bad...it kind of flooded and got my AF1...damit
haha nah we've found out that its the aircon hose that seems to be blocked off and it drips down into the footwell lol.. should be an easy fix though.
hmm what bulbs would u recommend that are pretty bright then.. with either a full white bright light or a bluish tint like those mtec...? and arent like those raybrig bulbs which are EXPENSIVE!
i used Mtec for my odc, bought 4900K, too bluish, crap. changed to 4300K, looks ok. pure white. only $30 :) can't compare to HID or diamond/blue vision.
bright or not, it depends. looks ok if compare to stock, but don't compare to HID/Philips - PIAA;) for that range of price, i highly recommend Mtec.
New family member ;) Leather seat cover
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...honda/seat.jpg
ahh i see fair enough. HOLY SHIT THATS FCKING HOT!! where'd you get it from?!?!?!?! and is it like a cover as in.. it covers the whole seat which would then void my sport's warranty on airbags =/...
im interested in that dmx, is that leather arm rest aswell??
how much is that??
has anyone thought about supercharging the fd?
will it be cheaper than turbo?
dmx nice seat cover but
the stitching a bit dodgy??
I haven't heard about s/c the FD. So far I've only heard turbocharging being successful on FD's with 1.6 and 1.8 engines.
Just fitted HID 6000k, Mtec High beam, and LED parker.
Wanted to get either Panel Filter or CAI
warranty ??? Vti-L/sports which is have side airbag ? so forget it then..lol
only available for VTI (non side air bag), VTI owner seems get more option ;)
like this example : CF door line trim
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...zhonda/cfd.jpg
still have a few set (of 4)
supercharger ? so u want make 0-100 from 7 sec to 4 sec ?:D
seems not available(yet), only Mugen dominator use this;)
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u.../rear6copy.jpg
yes, leather cover(s) with 15 pcs incl. arm rest but u need to dimantle the arm rest (+all DIY). $375 with 2color option and stitches. The leather is much much much softer than civic sport leather and much more comfy when u seat on it. claimed from italian leather material and been stitched by ex Korean KIA leather seat labour
stitching looks ok. all straight...lol

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...onda/seat3.jpg
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...onda/seat2.jpg
with type-R under door light (well.. not type-r anymore, now new JDM civic facelift also comes with this light..not sure with thai built)
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...onda/seat6.jpg
ah.... damn the sports lol.. well can i get that cf door trim for my sports still? or is that again an only vti option.. which wouldnt really make sense =.=... and yeah the leather on my sports hurts ur ass after a couple hours lol.
wow dmx.. i like the CF door line trim.. is that available in real CF instead of CF-Look?
trim only for front seat right???
what kit is that on the red super charged fd? is it called the Mugen Dominator kit?? coz im really liking that rear bumper and exhaust set up. would like to know where i could get my hands on it
very nice dmx! thinking of doing for the rear seats for mine as i have the VTi-L :D
doubt it. sport/VTI-L already have silver line trim, u need to remove that line trim, and not easy to remove it, u have to dismantle the door trim, drill out the line trim clips...and at the end, it won't match with your inner door handle trim(silver) and door switch trim (also silver). only match and better for Vti (which no door line trim) and the one who already have CF interior trim.
errr..nope. not much diff in weight..lol but will dig ur pocket much deeper..
lol... no for this, not suitable for my age to drive the car with chunky wing..:D
so u can't do for ur front seat due to side airbag ? means will be diff. rear and front ? errr.. better not doing it..;)
i think, dominator is concept car (well..limited, before Mugen RR, on 2007), less than Mugen RR. to be honest, never (or not yet ???) know ppl drive this Mugen dominator (if Mugen RR -- yes, we got a couple close to here, Sing got 1, Malaysia got 1, Indonesia got 3, HK got 5,and aussie get 0 :D)
also the bodykit, never see in the market.only type-r and jump to Mugen RR. they skip the dominator style due to more complicated rear kit (need to move the exhaust)
FINALLY GOT MY BRIDE IN :D
it holds you daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn nicely :)
these are some pics i found online of an fd with the dominator kit in the phillipines

http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u...3/DSC_0703.jpg
i must say that is one of the hotest fds ive ever seen... hence why i so badly want that kit :(
and it looks great with just the hybrid ducktail instead of the big wing.
Sexy Ride!! xD
holy shitttttttt that front bumper is SEXY

sry for the crap iphone camera :(
very nice indeed, but anyone notice to rear bumper body line is too explicit and rough? see
1. under the rear light (vertical),
2. bumper horizontal line and the meeting point between them not as a round shape, instead as a sharp point.
3. lower bumper side near the rims and also no air dam scoop

http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u...3/DSC_0714.jpg
and for front, much better, only slightly different shape at side, close to the rims, there's no air dam scoop

It's a Pioneer DEH-2050MPG $109 at JB's, I wish now I chose one with blue display to match the other gauges on dash. It's a major improvement on the standard head unit that came with the car, I originally put in new speakers thought that would make it sound better but sounded flat and not much coming out of the rear speakers. I then added a Pioneer Amp to the rear speakers it sounded nice and loud but the sound quality was terrible. With the Pioneer it sounds fantastic I don't think I need the Amp but seeing that I had already installed it I decided to keep it.. I used the old speaker frames as mounting plates for the new Pioneer speakers I just cut the centres out with a sharp knife. The original speakers had flimsy plastic frames , the new ones were really easy to install .Even the front door ones, I didn't have to take all the door panel off just unclipped the door studs closest to the speaker mountings.
In the second Din pocket I mounted a clock/temp gauge to fill up the hole a bit cost $39 at Jaycar
whoa ... what happened to the 20z?
wow ur side skirt look realy crooked??? is that rite??? are all the replica like this?
crooked??in wad sense...im looking to get the mooooogen bodykit now...any sources out dere?
wow nice steelies bodass! lol you ordering brand new rims from indo or somethin?
what happened to those 20's lol?1?!
hmm ive got a question about soldering wires to a cigarette lighter plug like this one:
http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.st.../product/P1675
which terminal is for the neg wire and which is for the pos? the guy at dse told me when i bought the plug but i forgot which is which now haha.. can anyone help lol?
I just cut the cigarette lighter connection off my Temperature Gauge and connected it to the same accessory wire I used for the CD/Radio. From what I saw the centre wire on mine (+) was the black wire with silver traces on it, the negative was the plain black wire. I hope this helps
oh, hmm in the plug theres no wires though, its just uhm.. at the top theres the small silver rod that sticks out (thats one terminal), and inside theres a metal piece that pops out the side on both sides which slides into the cig socket (another terminal), i cant remember which one is neg and which is pos to solder wires too =/
"Your mods to 2006-2007 fd civics?" Just had my car serviced. Normally doesn't count... but when a standard service costs $240 then it sure feels like a mod :(
On a serious not, the tyres are finally in. Having the rims FINALLY properly fitted tomorrow. Also will add my newest mod to the car... my new ozhonda sticker :)
Then another 2 mods planned to follow shortly... more on that later.

nice!
thats HOT. btw theres no drop on that right?
what tyres you on? 215/40/18? or 225? what toyo's are they?
aand btw is there any scrubbing or sticking out too much from the guards?
lol sry abt the load of questions :L
damnnn thats a nice looking ride haha
THanks mate.
The tyres are 225/40/18, yep they are toyos tranpath something or another (sorry havent really checked) with 92 W load/speed rating.
The rims are almost flush with the guards (+35 offset).. so not sure if I can lower it. My ride is stock height.. but on a very slight slope the rear sits only one finger above the tyre... so would be worried about scrubbing with passengers in the back. So far tho no scrubbing - tho i havent driven far yet on them.
Maybe I'll need to get some stiff as coilovers if i'm gonna lower it.
EDIT: It doesn't stick out enough to get done for... so +35 offset is safe.. maybe not with 8" or 8.5"
ahh i see, that looks great though, but yeah seems there could be a problem if you were to drop it =/. im thinking of going 225/40/18 aswell when i get some rims.
since your 7.5 width with +35 fits, do you reckon i could slide in 18x8 +35 and 18x9 +43?
18x8 with +35 would be the max I'd try on that offset... not sure about the other offset mate. Use the offset calculator. Because it sits flush with the guards... u couldn't lower it much unless u roll 'em. And thats not something i want to do.
http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp
ahh isee. thanks. hmm heres another offset calculator if you havnt found it yet =].
http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp
hmm 27mm less clearance to the strut housing... is that a big margin?.. because it sounds like it lol =/
nice wheels and good choice markCivicVti!!!
i dont think i have posted up my wheels or my ride yet... check it out!!!
i've been quiet on the forums just been reading about what fd owners have got to say...
anyways you guys know anything about changing our indicators at the front to an amber
colour???? like the USDM models???
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v113/jdjc86/ozh.jpg
markcivicvti, thats weird!!! mine still have 2-3 fingers gap with the same rim size and tyre size
probably cos his was on the slope lol. just added more weight to the rear =]
Yeah it was a very slight slope... with some load in the back, but not to much.
but yeah, if thats how low it is in that circumstance then I dunno if I can lower it.
i just added these today yo..hehehehe
