Good tyres for Euro 17" Rims

The tyre wear rating on both the Michelin and Wide Oval are 320 where the Adrenelin is 220.

1. Michelin is on special atm for around $250 instead of around $300
2. Adrenelins can get for $225
3. Wide Oval are $209

So what would be the pick do you guys think???

Im inclined to go Michelins, they are coming out on the new E63 AMG's...but........

I actually got a cheaper price than the $250 for the Michelin PS3, Payless Tyres in Chullora offered to beat the price I got and gave me a price of $240 each, only catch was I had to leave a deposit so he could order them in, I cbf'd.......so there you go.....just shop around....I got prices of $315 as well....Michelin Aust told me they retail at $330 + GST, however Michelin was running a special on the 225/45/17 for the month of March, they run specials on certain sizes form time to time so they say.....

Firestone Wide Oval review/survey - apparaently they are a copy of the old Potenza RE760

I would recommend the Michellin preceda's. I just recently changed my tires from Preceda's to Yoko S.Drives. The precedas are definitely better.
I was debating between S.drives and Toyo T1R's and only ended up getting the S.drives because it was being offered on special.

Since I have switched to the S.Drives I have noticed the below
Cons
1. Longer Braking Distance
2. Less Grip in both dry and wet

Pros
1. Less tramlining

In regards to the other two options. I have never tried them so can't comment.

Got Prellie P7 225/45 R17 Today on special fo r $254 but I Got $249 per corner from bob jane

just by ring up different bob jane stores

P7 Tread wear rating 260 , made in china

I could get P zero for cheaper $235 but tread wear 220

as I don't want to change tyre too soon they cost way too much

$1000 ouch !!

My first impression is soft and quiet compare to what i had before

but abit bouncing than what i had before Bridgestone RE040 front / Goodyear LS2000 back

i did feel sidewall is softer than yokohama C Drive (before installed)

before i was not so happy with the 2006 euro ride , too sporty and hard for my like

Now feel more like luxury sedan , Quite and comfort .....YES !!

hope they don't wear out too fast

DRY And WET grip is yet to be tested

from my exprience tread wear 160 bridgestone duller last around 30000KMs

therefore tread wear 50 = 10000KMs (Just my formula under my driving condition)

hope my P7 will last 50000KMs

I ended up picking the Michelin Pilot Sport 3, so far I feel they are a little more comfortable than the OEM RE040A's, but since its raining today I havent had the oportunity to test traction.

The PS3 are pretty good, noise is ok, I think the Euro lets in road noise regardless, very good in the wet, but am getting a bit of understeer which i hope to correct with a selbys RSB very soon.

Hi mate, i got the same about 2 months back. what air pressure u use? bob jane and couple places recommended using 40 psi which i use. ta

hey guys just like to ask a question, if I'm getting new tyres for my 06 Lux 17inch wheels soon, but plan on getting the euro sport 17inch rims sometime next year, can I use the same tyres? because I don't want to waste my new set of tyres, and the specs on both of these wheels seem to be the same? anybody can correct me?? thanks!!!

hey razer, yes you'll be able to switch your tyres on your current rims to your new sport wheels without a single problem.

thanks karlos! now just to save up for wheels!! I really like 18 on the euro but tyres and wheels are a lot more expensive, and I also don't want to make the car pickup any harder than it currently does. Do you have a euro as well?? what wheels you rollin in?
