will get it delivered to you for less than 200bux.
you then can pay barefootbonzai to install it for you. less than 8k in total, and you got yourself an aftermarket ECU aswell
its sold.... damn, but so far I have the b16b to choose from and the b18cr
will post up with some updates, thanks to all for the advice and direction
juts sent you a pm mate with some info
thanks for that
you pay what 4k for a b16a dropped into the car
So 4 k to spend right? Buy an LSD, Forged internals, CTR cams, port and polish the head and see how much change u get from the 4k
I did however come up with a list of needed items
• EK4/EM1 radiator (twin core)
• JDM cat back exhaust $750
• New Exedy OE clutch $300
• New fluids
• Seal kit (intake, exhaust, head, sump) $245
• Timing belt $85
• Water pump $160
anyone else care to add to the list of things I have to buy before going any forward
Hardly... It's 10-15 hp less than the b18 type R.
As for 200,000 kms dont bother, you will be driving hard coz you want to go fast with such an engine and it will just blow like mine did with only around 130 XXX - 150 -XXX. Then it's another 4.5 grand to spend on a rebuild as i learnt from experience.
Also b16b is great fuel economy when driving grand-motherly but to really notice the go you have to be hitting v-tec 24/7. IMO just for the pure torquiness go a b18. I wish i did, but thats not to say i'm not extremely happy with the b16b
I just cant justify the B18CR cost in my coupe compared to the B16B, theyre a good 1k in price diff
