Just buy an RVF... not only are they heaps quick for a learner, they are also well balanced bike for our roads...
Have you seen the prices people want for the RVF? I rather buy a 250 then spend the money on a RVFQuote:

Well generally bikes are a nice weather/summer activity, in winter/rain you freeze your balls off.
So usually a lot of new riders go for a bike purchase towards end of the year, which co-incides with holiday periods as well... so you get a high volume of buyers going for the same bike and demand goes up a heap...
Buy around winter, sellers have less potential buyers and become desperate to sell

**** the 250 just go gs500 the powers there, and doesnt look too bad
mate has a gs500, aint that fast, good balanced bike, good riding position but other then that its butt ugly imho lol
