[URGENT] Threads on distasteful topics in the Lounge. Please vote your opinion

The lowies thread was closed because some of the pics were of underaged girls, which is illegal.

so you are saying that in the first instance only threads about illegal topics would be deleted? because I'm fairly sure this would be part of the terms of conditions anyway.

I haven't bothered to read all replies.

But my 2cents.

The threads are fine. For those whom don't like it, maybe an icon like the 18+ one can be issued to the topic to allow users to know about these sorts of threads. Then its up to the user as to whether or not they read it.

It should have been deleted. In an attempt to let members have a fair go with their threads, we tried leaving their controversial threads to run their way and hoped that they would stay on track, but that plan backfired on us.

Bring back the brothel thread!

well its the lounge thread... its meant to be something to dont see.. well to me the brothel thread isnt bad..

if ur going to take down that thread... then take down the azn chicks thread and hot chicks thread then... casue im sure qball if u think ppl go onto ozhonda to check azn chicks there is other forums for that reason..

No need to put Qball on the spot. This move to remove those kinds of threads was initiated by me. And yes, the azn and hot chick threads are at risk of being closed down if there members start complaining about them.

by any means i am not complaining i think no1 would... but im just giving back qball what he said thats all i have respect for him and i am not putting him on the spot i just want to know what his reponse would be thats all.

and honestly ofcourse brothel's arent really a good topic but it was amusing just as the lounge thread should be.

We've allowed those threads to stay given that theyre from way back before any of you were members.

That does not mean that we're going to let the lounge become inundated with sex oriented topics of a crude nature.
Everything in moderation is ok... however a few of you have stepped over this line and have persisted in posting up complete utter shit for the past few months.

Seriously Everyone,
I have felt for a while that the quality of threads has been going downhill, things like the Brothel and Homo ones were a bit off, (as are the racist ones) I don't have anything specific against either, but surely the whole internetz caters better to that kind of info to search.

I enjoy the fun that some people come up with, but theres times when this gets to be a bit like /B/ on 4Chan, and lets face it, let it go unchecked and OzHonda will end up on Conroys Banned Sites filter list (Remember the Pedobear Sig Thread?)

There are times when I can't find good information on some aspects of owning/repairing a Honda, but it's far easier to find out who thinks drugs are cool, or who can start the most gross thread.

I think there should be some freedom of speech, but lets keep it kind of clean, we should be proud to have a cool place where we can come and hang out, not make it a playground for really stupid posts that probably make the rest of the car forums think we are just a bunch of dicks.

How cool is the "Pic that made you Lol" thread, that makes my day, even if I cant see all the images due to my works firewall, but most of the time I just avoid the lounge as it appears like some 12 yr olds chat room.

Don't close the Lounge, just bring its class back to where it used to be.

I don't think I will ever change from owning Hondas, but if this keeps up I will find somewhere else to talk Hondas.
