Just got my car with my new tyres back. 195/55/15 re001 Adrenalins
some of you may be suprised to hear this but these are made in JAPAN, not Australia. Made back in the 34th week of 2009, so not too bad.
We all know the bridgestone tyre factory in australia is closed / or closing, so I guess they've already made arrangements nice and early to continue their line of products with minimal disruption during transition.
The thing is everyone views charateristics of tires in different order.
Some favour dry grip, some noise, life etc etc over another and so you wont get a proper reply.
OP should just do a little basic research and try around to find something he likes.
Also Ku36 >>>> Re001 in terms of dry grip vs price, based on my personal running times at the local track.

Funny u menton the RE11, for shits and giggles, I asked the guy how much they were for 195/55/15 and he said the only way to get em is to import them. We don't get them in aus. the next step up RE55S for that same size was ~$350 a tyre. wow...

are the ku36 noisy compared to the ku31?
Cant compare it with the ku31, but they are a noisy tire.
KU36 is noisy comparin to Hankook RS2 and RE001, RS2 has better initial grip when cold but have a very low max working temp... RE001 is good once its warmed up... KU36, good dry grip but very soft sidewalls......
How noisy is kumho? i guess when ur in the car listening to radio or music u wouldnt hear it?
Im looking for a set too just for everyday drive.
