Cams for SURE man. Stage 2's with valvesprings and titanium retainers? Skunk2's off ebay america are really affordable atm! :D and a better final drive is a great idea, i've heard that gearbox mods can sometimes be more effective then any basic/common engine mod.
good luck man! make this guy eat your dust!
s2000's arent that quick on the 1/4 mile, countless times ive seen ITR's beat them at eastern creek even it it only is by miliseconds
i got a toda spec b head for sale. im in melbourne too. With the skunk2 TB or maybe ITB, work the block maybe b20? hondata + tune from adrain and you should be set to beat the s2k.
cant promise you 200kwatw but you'll be getting 140-145kw which is pretty strong from a b18c na.
or for that amount of money you can chuck on a turbo and be at 200kw.
its all up to you
here is a recommendation list from me:
- skunk2 intake manifold
- hondata intake manifold gasket + permatex to seal
- hondata ECU
- skunk2 or toda cams with adjustable gears + uprated springs + retainers
- Simota whale style intake
- mugen, spoon, 5zigen etc 4-1 headers
- racing cat + catback
- skunk2 or AEM fuel rail + adjustable FPR
- russels SS braided fuel lines
- lightened flywheel + HD clutch
- good quality engine oil (FEO Ultra) + gearbox oil (NEO HD Gold) + j's racing plugs on both
- some nice high octane racing fuel
- quality front splitter
- some good drag radials
- some quality drag alloys
- rip out everything u dont need in the car
- a REALLY GOOD tune
- PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE
^why would he waste money on a skunk2 intake manifold when he has ITR one?
for a 5% increase? lol i dunno
at least get the hondata gasket
with 3k, ECU, flywheel and clutch is all you need, you dont need alot of mods to beat a s2000 (assuming you already have I/H/E)
P.S - Circuit semi slicks are pretty crap on the strip, (may improce 60ft time by 0.01) but good quality street tyres work just as well
I pulls a 2.002 60ft with R888, and i pulled a 2.016 with RE001
Listen to people that have had experience with the strip/circuit/ etc, alot of people can say "put this in and that" but you're better off listening to people with some sort of experience
Free mod to make your car faster without spending money = strip your interior, weight reduction
