b16a2 turbo vs wrx

a rex, even slightly modded will get killed by any decently made b16a turbo. My d16 killed wrx's all the time. if they dont lauch, BY BY. if they do, its only BY. From a roll, my d16 beat my mates gen3, slaughtered many 5l's, 200xs, modded skylines etc etc. turbo honda's love rolls.

in the end i own a Subaru Liberty B4 and a turbo civic, so i have an unbiased pov. Civic wins, hands down.

stock wrx = 100kw atw and a weight of around 1410kg's VS a Civic at 1050kgs and 130kw+

STi isnt much different. my good mate has a 04 STi and i rekon the civic pulls harder from a roll. I gotta get a race with him someone under controlled condidtions. from a lauch, well its a different story. the civic with the power to kill a STI will need great suspension, tyres and driver to do it on the street.

I own one (b16a hatch), and i wouldn't come near a wrx. They are too fast. On the same note, try and find a stock wrx to race these days, even old ladies have exhuast and filter fitted! :D

nah i really dont think so lol, rex's are only good for the 4500-5000rpm dump koz thats the only trick they have in the bag lol but hey thats my opinion.

stock rexs are very rapid 0-120 after that it all falls apart ..i have seen a pulsar sss sr20 keep up with a 00 rex on the highway..small turbo just doesnt have the top end happening...subaru figure that everyone spends their time in the 0-120kmh zone and that is where the wrx is at its best.......0-120 standing start the rex will win easy....40kmh roll start its anyone race....depending on the rex being in 2nd and off boost and by the time it got going the b16 would be screaming its **** off....on the highway i dont think the b16 would keep up after about 140kmh being a smaller capacity engine...the bigger the cubes the better the top end..
