i'm impressed with your dedication to the d series engine, and i'm happy that some figures are being thrown around for people to look at.
hey qikteg
i think you might still have a d16a3 in there because the d16a8 had evectronic timing advance and the d16a3 hav vacuume, and it looks like your car has vaccume advance. Also on a8's the valve cover bolts are around the out side not in the middle. Have you checked the engine number?
i had a glance the other day to try and confirm what exactly it was..
i guess the 3 could have looked like an 8 (it was pretty scungy) i'll confirm tonite, it could very well be an A3
being the case that it is an A3 would actually be quite beneficial for me, cos it means that i can use your figures as a more accurate benchmark, and aim for the same figures that you are
confirmed, i have a d16a3. stupid 3 looks like an 8.
post above edited
thats cool :) you can still install the D16A8 incase your A3 gives up its ghost...
Yonas: how did you get 15.1? rcomps? HD clutch?

ahhh ... cool. Yeah - thats all I wanted to know - as it seemed a bit 'unrealistic' for an EG in street trim with IHE to make that time. I knew you had to have something 'extra' in that car.
