Wow, you mean the sales guy told me an untruth? It's a pity I didn't know about OzHonda before I bought the car. I shall now try and forget about that $8,000 +:o

i got stocko + leather - leather is pimp
xenons, heated seats, there not really worth the extra thousands imo
sunroof is nice, but then again, aerotop supra is better
The RRP is on www.honda.com.au. And all the car review sites and magazines (Wheels magazine car database section especially) have the RRP listed in their magazine.
lol i forgot i posted in here
im thinking about changing the suspension in the wifes 05 std for my 03 lux. hers is firmer for sure. the lease company will never know. because i bet they wont notice the full-size spare missing either :P
Lol @ Zei20T, you make me laugh man.
i went to 2 dealerships a local and a big one, both said the standard was 37k and the lux 46k driveaway (im gettin and auto to so they are abit more), yeh i didnt bargain but when i spoke to my lease company there was only a 3.5k difference even with the options im getting not much about 1.6k worth, tint, towbar, reverse sensors cargo bag, maps i think thats it.
The lease company guy told me for some reason they dont get a big lease discount on the std???? so for 3.5k extra i was more then happy pay, the extra bits i like are electric seats, kit wheels and lights. the wife likes the leather and sunroof, and if your wondering how much i paid, i paid less then the 42,990 rrp i see on the honda website by a considerable amount. i found the biggest things dealers wack onto cost (or their profit) is delivery and stat charges. i think most ppl dont question that.
Thanks for the info 80057.Does this mean that you only pay $3500 extra to get the lux?
In the "How much do you pay for your euro ..." thread in this forum, I found that the lowest drive away for manual std is $32500 (not sure which state). Based on your info, does it mean that you can get the lux for $36K (assuming in the same state). I don't think any dealer will let you get that.
In the same thread, I found the cheapest lux manual is just under $38K (not sure which state).
I guess we'll never know the "real price difference" btw std and lux in a certain state. It just depends on whether the dealer is willing to give you for less or not
Rusty,
yeh the price difference i got was only 3.5k. between std and lux. but i guess it comes down to how much you actually paid for it or are willing to pay for it, im sure price changes dealer to dealer. high end places like rick damelian and trivetts will always charge more i than a average dealership without the bits and bobs those places have like cafe de rick or whatever the name of the on premise cafe rick damelian has in sydney, they charge more because of the higher service they supposingly give. i only know NSW to, so it could be different in other states.
The only thing i like on the lux is the sunroof and the HIDs....
I dont mind the 16" stock rims but if I were to go up to 17" I prefer lighter forge rims then those heavy alloys. I can live with the manual seat adjustments, hardly adjust them once I found the comfortable setting. Not sure about the heated seats, havent play aroud with one before....
If I can do away with the speakers and CD stacker, I would even consider that.... but they say no price cut.... Prefer my aftermarket system.
So I dont see the point of having to fork out another 7-8k for those stuffs....
seated heats dont do anything for me, had them in my girl's convertable astra, never used them. after market sound systems are always good, its a shame you cant change it in the euro. head deck i mean
go Charmander!
Who says you cant add additional HU?? I am planing to do that next year... wait till my gear gets here.
of course you can add a HU, but your cant really swap the existing one, thats what im saying. There could be a way but i think it would be expensive
I just bought 2nd LUX one month ago. Still under new car warranty. Taste Good
Not enough power but good for cruising !!
