he was being stupid mate, but many civics are riced. thats not to say urs is but comparing a much lighter eg with an engine convo to a lude with bolt ons is pointless anyway...

meh... why would u wanna be in an eg civic anyways...
how fast does the fastest n/a prelude run ??
my civic had a switch not a knob. from slow and slower.
 Hey there! I also have a non si... how many kw do they hav standard coz ive been told 148, but then i saw on in the original 97 prelude brochure that si only makes 118 odd so yeh...
How much roughly for forged race pistons ne1?? R Type S stronger than usual or just bigger? i heard that preludes (or Hondas in general) have quite soft pistons therefore they need upgrading if you were lookin at turbo conversions.
kept up with a skyline the other day i was like... awwwww yeeeeeeh!!
... i love :honda:
with all do respect... im sure the skyline WASNT turbo'd or they were in 5th gear lol Si has 118kw and VTir has 142-148kw, h22's have carbon weaved cylinder sleeves which are a no no for forged pistons unless you run low boost on them. and yes type s Gear is much stronger than standard and you can get higher comp pistons to fit OEM without any worries. pistons are around 800 for a descent set but you would upgrade rods and everything else not to mention you would have to sleeve the block with new iron sleeves which arent cheap and have the hole thing bored out to suit and blueprint the whole thing.... its not cheap ill tell you that. iv done it lol
get a custom catback done for about 600ish, high flow cat and cold air intake.. it helps the prelude lots :)
Intake, headers and exhaust are essential. In my opinion, I would go for an ebay intake from America as I did. They're well priced, good quailty and very nice sounding. Here's a link:

Headers are a tough one for the H22A ludes, and something that I've been looking into thoroughly. Personally, from what I have found, I wouldn't recommend an ebay header or an Xforce or even a DC as they dont really increase power nor do they really last. For mine, I will probably either go with these:

or if you're willing to spend more, with these:

As for exhaust, from what I've seen and read the magnaflow exhaust are very good, but make sure you get a resinator for it
Im waiting on my set of lovefab NA headers now, they should be ready and about to be sent, $1000 + shipping is what you pay but it will be worth it!
It just change the headers.. I've seen a 3rd gen prelude with a turbo as well.. the thing goes awesome.. anyways good luck with the project.. =]
