its funny, because with the right shock, kings are excellent springs, so i cant wait to here wat ur lancer was setup was like
and they are not too soft, ull be hard pressed finding normal springs that are stiffer
only coilovers springs are much stiffer

I SERIOUSLY dought all this scrubbing has anything to do with ur springs or shocks, its most likely ur wheels offset
width shouldnt be a problem at all, 17x7 is fine with the RIGHT OFFSET

If I were you i'd sell the current setup - if you want to call it a setup - and buy something decent.
you could do that but you can get great handling out of your current setup by adding swaybars. soft springs and big swaybars FTW in my experience and there is alot of evidence that backs this. hard springs is only for the smoothest fast tracks with great tyres or semi slicks. not street.
as said earlier your wheel offset is wrong. do you have anypics of how deep it sits in the guard

my tyres are bald, 4 new 17 inch tyres ~ $500. 4 alloy 15 inch wheels are like $650 from jax, i'll get that instead and sell my white 17's which are too big >___<, tho i really like em.
I recon i'll go with the 15x6.5 or 16x6.5 inch small rims, whichevers scrubbin less - i dont like low profile that much anymore. Too much friggin road noise on rough roads.

sticking to something like 15x6.5 at +40 ish should be alright. thats what most of the guys on the forums are running.
