2.5" drop?
you'll be definitely scrubbing :)
i already got king spring lows, what can i do to lower them more to save me replacing the springs... compressing springs?
In regards to thread title:
A place you can visit to lower your car is the beach.
Fill up bags of sand and place them stratigically around the inside of your car.
-_-......
i want to low my car..not slow it
:P
vtecmachine's right though, cheapest way around it :p
on another note i received my ground control sleeves this morning :)
you should buy some :p
dropping 1-1.5" is definitely not enuf for most hondas..... if u gonna use stock rims, it wont scrub.... the ride for king spring is not bad at all, caught me by surprise.... definitely better than pedders.... king is value for $$$$$.....
i agree with zimp13, i drop my jazz 1.5" with skunk2 and it seems like it hasnt been lower.......... LOL
hey guys,
I just put a new set of 18" rims on my 04 Integra. Now theres about a 2.5" gap between the top of the tyre and the car and I want to get my car lowerd. I know its already mentioned in this thread, but wanted to clarify, that if I just got new springs and left the stock shocks in there it should be fine as long as im not dropping it more than 2" right? I actually would prefer to just drop in about 1.5" cause i know if i go down 2" im definately going to get some scrubbing.
The place i installed the wheels (Tech9tyres) said they can lower it for $500 with new springs (have to ask them what springs though) but Pedders quoted me $832 :S which seems like a huge difference for the sam job???
my thread is alive again:P
Just letting you guys know that my springs have been perfectly fine for the last 3 years.
Still have a 2 finger gap front/rear...King springs haven't sagged or anything. My shocks are still going strong even at 250,000km on the odometer. IIRC the springs were installed at the ~180,000km mark.
Kings lows will drop roughly 1.5 inches.
Not sure about super lows but I wouldn't recommend going any lower than 1.5-2 inches on stock shocks.
coilovers bro :D
Thanks guys.
Yeah i thought pedders were a bit overpriced. I dont think im going to go any lower than 2". Around 1.5" would be the most. Richard I would love to get coilovers but they are a bit out of the range for me atm and im in Perth, not much racing going on about here ;)
