Nah I had it in CAI :)

Certainly an improvement going to the J's Racing due to the tubing being shorter and having the carbon fibre shield protecting it from heat stroke... Best of both worlds....
But value for money... certainly the Injen.

I have to say your car looks hot and I have read ur previous pages about keeping it to your sister and buying another manual euro. I total agree with you because I have two auto honda. That has not stopped me from modifying my car. It's about passionate, not transmission. have you considered smoking your tail light?I love recaros with racing harness. Good News, Guys I got 1:52.007 at Winton :D not bad for first time at Winton and really happy with the time.
But bad news my front end of the car is damaged due to a minor accident on the track...
So yeah :(

I was being pressured by a Skyline... which you can see speeding past after the accident.. and IMHO the Lancer didn't slow down enough nor indicate like the DC5R...

But it is my fault as well :( SIGH BAD LUCK WITH THE GRAVEL

damaged his camber arm and fender scratched / dented + some scratches on body kit I think...

I have to replace Bonnet, Grill, Front Bumper (Which was just replaced ==), license plate holder and Radiator Cover...

I was going to slow down.. but the DC5R beat me to it... so I couldn't really slow and keep to the left.... so I decided to keep going...

This is my first time tracking but I had a lot of belief in myself haha.... GT5 + LOGITECH G27 / G25 helps you a lot trust....

This was my last lap of my last session... so was going hard haha... I'll upload my first laps ect later on.

EDIT: But yeah Live and Learn and I reckon this was a really really good experience...

You can see in my other videos (coming soon) I would always indicate and slow the hell down to let the Evos, Skylines pass but yeah...

I turned off VSA everything... grip was quite amazing on the Pilot Super Sport except heats up really fast....

Not bad for AUTO huh ;) Beat an EVO 8 MR and BMW 335i

but my plan to beat a DC5 failed :(

I can't believe your comparing driving on gt5 to real life.

I'm not sure what happened but I wouldn't care who was behind me and just slow down if your not comfortable or if your getting pressured on the track drive off the track instead of going beyond your capabilities. Would of saved him and you some money

I was comfortable and yes your right I could've driven off the track instead of taking the turn but that's why it's called an "accident". It happened due to it being an accident / luck where my rear wheel caught on the apex / gravel thus loss of traction. No sh#t if I was feeling uncomfortable I would've just driven off the track ect ect. It happened and I just took it as a learning experience and all.

Sorry but I don't see why I can't compare driving on GT5 to real life... You do realise GT5 is quite realistic in terms of driving... Out of all console “driving simulator games" I would say R Factor and 1 2 others and GT5 to be quite good except nothing beats R Factor. GT5 teaches you how to handle loss of traction, breaking points, driving line and throttle control quite well IMHO. Like I said a lot of those people who were out on the track that day who participate in cup racing and ect. agreed that GT5 does help. Of course it's nothing like real driving in regards to G force and the stability of the car but I think all those things make you a better driver.

You can disagree with me but from my personal experience and after just going out on the track I can indeed say it does help.

Not being cocky but results also mean something.

Yoyoyoyo nah pretty much the same as Injen :D you don't hear much sound unless you surpass a certain RPM...

Car looks good mate, 1.52 at Winton is a great time especially with the CL9.
I think you should just think of what people are saying, there not having a go at you, just giving you something to think about that's all.
I remember my first outting at Winton, that was on a fun day and i shit you not, there were probably double the amount of cars there then what was at the last 2 Tampered Events (Im assuming you attended)
Don't feel all to bad about what happened, stuff like this happens, can be avoided but sometimes it takes just 1 second to bypass you and this can occur...
As you and other said live and learn mate, that's all there is to it..

Curious to know, i understand when you have an accident on the track there is no insurance, so you being at fault in this scenario did you come to an agreement with the other bloke that whatever it cost you'd give him $$$
Or is it basically, if you hit somebody, regardless, you don't have to fork out any $$$

Just always wondered (I don't mean to take advantage of your situation just wanting to know)

Some of the people I know, pretty much witnessed scenario's where people hit and pretty much just walk away. Because each individual pretty much covers their own ass, you can pretty much walk away and no one's really able to do anything about it, other than punch on.

Damn.. i would never go to the track with other drivers on there. That lancer copped a shitload of damage.

Yeah I don't feel too bad... I thought it was a good learning experience (the whole track day + the accident) and really took it in as just "driving experience".
I do take in everyone's advice and what not but ... just wanted to clear some facts first especially that GT5 comment ==.

Umm I would say like khanguskhan have said (and how other people have told me) you fork out for your own damage... I mean I guess if it's really really bad depending on who it is you can help pay for a bit or come to an agreement but I think most people would just acknowledge the damage / costs and then pay for their own and pretty much what is happening in my situation. I'm paying for my own damage.

Yeah when I first asked all my mates (track regulars) that is EXACTLY what they said pretty much... word for word. You pay for your own damage and you pretty much signed that down on a piece of paper before you even go on the track.

I spoke to the owner of the Lancer and the damage he received was a bent camber arm and damage to the quarter panel... and that's pretty much it (think some slight body kit damage too.)

Yeah :( All my mates told me that after watching the video but yeah guess I learned the hard way even though it wasn't the break dabbing that caused the accident lol (luckily cause I think it could've been worse).

I was just giving it a go to give it a chance for its final glory hahaha but I'll certainly enter when I finished my car.

Well remember this car was always going to be just bolt ons due to it being automatic :P
All I'm missing in this car technically is coilovers... + some accessories (visors, lights / leds what not, visual aesthetic mods)

So once I get the full body kit on, full respray (really having a hard think atm), coilovers it's going to be done with minor updates with minor mods (the ones listed above).

I've already started planning on my next build... but next build is going to be more full on engine and everything not just bolt ons.

Note it's not a Euro but I'll see as the time comes closer.

Well no I'm not getting a new Euro but I'm selling a few parts is because I just have them but not using it.
Direction is J's Racing Front Bar, Mugen / Luckystar Side Skirts, Feels Rear Diffuser Lip + Tein Flex (hopefully).

So then I'm getting rid of the
Genuine Luckystar Front Bumper *NEW*
TE37's *USED*
Luckystar Rear Bumper *USED*
Skunk 2 Exhaust *PRETTY MUCH NEW*
D2 Racing Coilovers *NEW*

So your planning on buying a new car that is not a euro and your spending more money on this.

Yes I can drive a manual :) but my license is Automatic

Hint ... the car will be most likely turboed!

Well because the car is still being kept in the family that is why I'm going with this direction. Once I've acquired all those parts... I'll most likely be parting out all the performance parts.

Intake + Header + Catback + Reflash + Everything else apart from the Bodykit.

When is this new project expected to start
