Called my dealer up today and they're expecting it in on Friday. Should be able to take delivery sometime next week. Excited!

Loving the car so far.
Suspension much firmer than the old GD Vti and new Auto much better than the crappy old CVT. Torque up hills better now.
I'm gonna start a new thread comparing GD VTi to GE Vibe S after I've driven it more.

Hi, I've been lurking here since being captivated by the Vibe-S in a showroom a few months back and placing an order. I'm new to Honda.
Took delivery last Fri, white, so like BiLL|zoR's pics, minus the Qld plates. About 250 k's so far.
I LUV it. Came from a V6 Camry so quite a change, but I reckon it has a good ride for a small car, not that its small on the inside!
Still learning to finesse the accelerator/auto box, it hunts around a bit compared to the bigger car.
And the electric power steering is different, a delight in tight spots, but a bit too sensitive on the expressway in my opinion. Anyone got any magic answers on this? I'm wondering if the tyres are inflated on the high side, haven't checked yet.
Anyway overall I reckon these will be a good investment, maybe a classic??

According to my dealer Vibe-S production has now been sold, or pre-ordered in the case of the final shipment of this model from Japan, due this month. After that the Thai built/spec cars are supposed to come back on stream.
I payed $22,240 as per RRP. I should have got mats and full tank fuel thown in but couldn't be bothered. Hind sight.Quote:

Vibe S is Auto only.
When it goes back to Thai models I thought they all came in manual and auto options.
thai models will have manual in GLI and VTI but only auto VTI-s
there are not many Vibe-S left, the are still cheaper than the thai VTI-S and come with more!
The Vibe price hasn't been negotiable with most dealers. Is it likely that the Thai imports will be negotiable down to similar prices as the Jap Vibe?Quote:

I need some advice from those who have recently purchased a 2012 Jazz Vibe-S. How long did you have to wait from the time that you ordered your car to the day that you actually took delivery? What do you consider as a reasonable waiting period for one of these? I placed an order on 23/04/2012 for a Vibe-S through a Sydney metro dealer with delivery quoted for May (actually stated on the contract). After weeks of chasing up the dealer for a delivery date, I finally managed to get a date of 11/06/2012. Is there anyone else out there that has had to wait this long for a car?
I hope it's worth the wait....

I placed an order for a white Vibe S on 24th April. My dealer made it quite clear that the car wouldn't arrive until June. All cars from the previous shipment were already allocated.
I think your dealer was giving you false expectations to claim that delivery could be in May.
But......it will be worth the wait.

My Sydney dealer quoted a date a little bit earlier than when he finally delivered, that was a few weeks back. I think there was a weather issue affecting shipping.
You'll have seen in this thread that Singa Ace was the carrier for some shipments, well its currently on its way from Japan to Brisbane, due there on 2 June, and maybe your car will be unloaded in Port Kembla a few days later, which would fit with your expected delivery date?
As others say, it will be worth the wait!

So I cancelled my Vibe-S order last month because my loan expired with the car delivery date still unknown...
I went to have my current car serviced 40K last Friday and said I wanted a loaner so I can just pickup my car the following day. Oh, the horror when they gave me a Storm Silver 2012 Vide-S - the same car order I had cancelled! And for the life of me, I loved getting around in the darned contraption! :(

I can totally understand the reason for Honda Australia to source replacement Jazz's from Japan whilst the Thai plant was down. I also understand that the Japanese built Jazz's are better value and more features than the Thai version. But I still can't help but think that the logistics of this temporary arrangement wasn't well planned out. The long wait aside (not anyone's fault in particular, even the weather in Japan contributed to the delay) it seems that some customers like myself found it very difficult to source reasonable estimates of the delivery dates of their cars. If Honda Australia decided to really market the Vibe and Vibe S to Australian consumers then they really should back what they sell, even if its temporary. This includes providing their dealer network with updates that they can pass onto their customers. It seems that some of the dealers and a lot of customers were kept in the dark.

The Milano Red is cool. I thought it would be a bit darker.
I just bought the all weather carpet from the dealer. They tried to convinced me to get the rust & paint protection, but thanks to this forum who's let me know that all those protection things are not worthed, especially for $1100!

Hi everyone, this looks like a good site for information.
I've just got my lovely 2012 Jazz Vibe S, I used to have a 2006 GLI, so it's quite a step up, and I love it, even though it seems to use heaps more petrol, but I've only done a couple of hundred kilometres so hopefully when it's run in it'll be better.
The bluetooth works fine with my phone, but I'd like to set it to auto answer, but can find nothing about it in the owner's handbook.
I'd ask the dealer to show me but I live quite a way away.
Can anyone help?
