I checked. I cant even get an Evolution insured. :( Not that I care since Id never buy one of those.
Thorn, I think the Euro looks better than the Legend from the outside. The Legend is a very generic styling, but its a great car otherwise.
All these ppl in the car should negatively impact on the performance... one at a time plz
hahaha... uhhh... but I already have riden and driven a Euro... :p
But mine's a friday special! Have you ever seen an Euro where the dealer replaced the glovebox under warranty because it was bent? Or one where they replaced the wheel well liner because a chunk was missing? Plus my body panels use to click when you pushed against them. LOL
Plus, I have a bent muffler tip ;)
Oh wow.. thats one special Euro! :honda:
Do u think it'll actually decide its had enuf and collapse when it sees my fat a$$? hahaha
Oops, back on topic. Otherwise I'll have to close this thread due to spam.
Well... Like I said before, I dont think I would trade our Euro to get another 1, simply coz there's not much thats gonna be "new" about the car... few minor changes by :honda: but for me, there's just no excitement about a new car like what a NEW car would bring!
If I had a choice, I wouldn't replace my '05 Euro with a newer model. I haven't had a chance to drive the Legend yet but the price seems 5-10% more than the price I would pay for it. I really don't understand why Honda can't make BLACK Euro's with BLACK interior. That tan colour just doesn't have much youth appeal! So we had to settle for the generic graphite colour for a black interior :(
Chances are the missus wants to upgrade our 2001 CRV to the new 2007 model (I don't really care where it's made) or maybe even to a Odyssey. So maybe the Legend has to go on the backburner for a couple more years.
My folks would most likely disagree with me about changing cars so soon. If they had their way, changing cars occurs when the car is 8-10 years old!
The black Euro now comes with a black interior in 2007.
BTW, instead of an odyssey, why not a new Tarago? For $54-55k, they come with a 3.5L Aurion engine.
the 07 model comes black on black, the legend is a be to rich for me to.
never driven an odyssey, wifey wants one cos she wants 6 kids!, me dont think so
Exactly  Mine is a 2007 Nighthawk Black Pearl with black interior, but was manufactured in Oct 2006. Dealer have assured me it is a 2007 model, previously that colour combination was not available for 2006 model.
Does it mean Tarago will be faster than Euro? It maybe faster than Euro in Aurion, but I might think Tarago V6 may be good for 8secs 0-100km/h dash.
I didn't like the shade of tan leather either.. I like beige leather, but it has to be light and is too easily dirtied! :(
Man, a BIT late for black on black nowww...
And actually, I was just flicking thru the :honda: magazine last nite and the new CRV is cosmetically quite appealling - dont know about that performance tho! And the spare is now under the cabin not outside...
Too right! Guess they finally started listening to their consumers...but as you said, a bit late.
The new CRV "made in Thailand" seems to be an issue with a number of members here but it doesn't bother me. I think I'll be taking one for a test drive tomorrow... Won't be a Valentine's Day present though!
neither man!?!?!, we cant afford six kids, i work hard cos, i want a nice house a nice car maybe a s2000 and gtr (i love gtr's as a weapon, love hondas for the cruise and nice drive) and a bike, would be happy with a yzf r6. not so we can have extra kids or move to the north shore (i got nothing against the north shore btw just rather stay in western sydney and have other things)
euro was always planned to be hers thats why its auto, it is just better for us for me to lease it while we pay off the wedding and get settle in our townhouse. also she has always wanted leather and sunroof (they are nice but not everything to me, im more inclined towards the drive, power, handling etc). we probably can squeeze 3 kids in the euro, and i will be happy with that.
originally i wanted black to, i think i said before nothing looks better then a nice shinny new black beast with some nice wheels especially at night, the tan leather is terrible, i had a few freinds have bad experiences as Ms GTi said, gets to dirty to easy, and imagin when the kids would be around. supposingly im bad enough as it is, not letting the wife pt her feet on the dash and stuff, imagine how bad i would be with tan leather! anyway black leather compliments my black asian head!!!!! lol
man i feel like and old man talkin kids lol, im only 26.
If you want to put your wife off putting her feet on the dash, search around on the net for video on what happens to a crash test dummy's foot when the passenger air bag goes off beneath it. Have seen video of a stationary test where all they did was set off the airbag and the dummy's foot went THROUGH the windscreen, breaking pretty much every bone below the knee. Ouch
lol, might search around when i get a chance, tho she listens cos its my car atm. its 7 weeks old man still have the new car feel and smell hehehe dont want it to be destroyed by 2 marks on the dash like her car which was brand new 4 years ago. i expect to keep the euro longer then that
this is my first and last Euro... never again..
Its too subtle for my needs... I'm going over to Nissan next.. need turbo lol!
Turbo the K24A ftw :)
depends on what you were expecting with a euro. For all out power, you would be better off with a turbo to begin with. The euro is a great cruiser that can hold its own 4cyl n/a to 4cyl n/a and for me, thats all I'd be looking for. If not a cruiser, a wrx or xr6turbo ftw.
If the Euro comes in a V6 six speed Manual Wagon.. I'll take it :D
Buy the 4WD wagon, and drop in a J35A into it. Winnah!!
Id like to see an Accord Euro hybrid. If its priced around same price as luxury it could do well
It wont come out with Hybrid with the current shape (although a Diesel is planned). Who knows what the next shape will have on offer ;)
Although I doubt they will hybridize the Euro, that would be better suited to the normal Accord imo
Im getting a new CRV lux in the next month. But im keeping my 05 Euro only 25000ks for a second car ! Lucky me!! Jtune...
It's hard to say, with the global rise in oil and the diminishing supply, I don't see why Honda is not looking into that. The diesel Accord Euro is now being tested at Honda HQ in Tulla awaiting final evaluation... My mate has seen it and it's not as loud as what people think they would be...
i-CTDi is designed to sound like a petrol engine and doesn't emit black smoke.
There are 2 cats. The first is a reactor with a custom catalyst (I don't think anyone has used it before) that binds the diesel particles and then through a regenerative catalyst, turn it into CO2, CO and water (plus what ever impurities that are in the diesel like SOx and NOx). That then goes into the 2nd one, which is like a conventional cat so that the SOx and NOx are bound and reduced.
There is a video of it on world.honda.com.
Power aside, the 2.0 TDI has 320Nm of torque... that's as much as a WRX, and more than a GTI! ;)
I'm not suggesting that it's fast exactly (I bought a petrol 2.0 FSI in preference - couldn't get used to a redline below 5,000rpm), but it sure does pull. I'll be interested to see how drivable the diesel Euro is in comparison.
^ I didn't even realise i was replying to "EuroDude"
