cusco = quality, great stuff JOhnnyFD
Guys a noob question, which product help best to stop body-roll when turning a corner? (even at speed as low as 25kph eg at a round about)
the correct swaybars (both F&R) / suspension(coilover/springs/shock) set up
running a thick front and rear swaybar will be stiff and you might under steer, where as running nothing you feel body roll. but majority of the time you wont notice a real differance till you track your car.
swaybar for the better cheap option. but you cant go wrong with coilovers. height adjustable makes you feel more aerodynamic haha
sorry to take the topic off handling for a bit but..... anyone know of any places i can feed wires through from my engine bay into the drivers seat area or the passenger side area? like any holes or gaps we can feed through?
cheers
agreed with ekdez, coils and sways (more the rear). Any particular reason why?
is that a question to my question? got some LEDs like ej's ones in his foggies area i need to wire up with a switch inside the cabin
Sorry that was to Ktvin, i think its best to pm tim regarding the fogs
ah ok.. hmm. but i just wanna know are there any gaps or areas we can slide wires through from the engine bay into the cabin?
is ur car auto or manual?
u mite aswell just do it thru the driver side man
u have a sound system?
auto car. where in the driver side though? nah not yet, but thinking of getting one lol.. but for the mean time just needa find out cos i got some LEDs i wanna install.
ummm u shuld have a hole up above where a clutch cable should be at...since urs is an auto, there shud be either a grommet or a metal plate...just drill it mate
uhm.. imnot so experienced with where a clutch cable should be at? drivers side or passenegrs side?
driver side my fren, the pedal next to the brake!!on the left hand side of the brake!!well for a manual car that is
oh so the cable is actually up there? lol.. soo there shud be a grommet or plate there where i can drill into? ahh sweet. cheers for the help mate =D.
thanks for the info re sway bars guys.
To black8thgen, you can try running the cables from top left side of engine bay (facing the front of the car), the cables actually run right above the driver side wheel arc, very tricky but am sure you can figure it out.
Inside the car on the driver side, there is a thumb size hole some where behind the fuse box (which is to the right of the accelerator paddel, you need to pull out that plastic cover). You won't be able to see it because it sits so deep inside, but if you put your hand in there with alot of patient you will find it with your finger. Have a mate feed a thin cable down first, and you put a finger down there and try to "grab" it, very tricky but safer than drilling. Then tie the thin cable to whatever cables you want and pull them through the arc and the hole. Very confusing i know but you gotta try it to understand... hope this help.
ahhhh. yeah thanks buddy ill definately give that a go =D.
+1 on that. that's pretty much the same route for when my friend and i did the wiring for my foglights. it comes in through the lil hole near the fuse box and up to the panel (or hole just beneath the select/reset mileage button is) to where my foglight switch is.
do u guys have pics of this hole? might help when i get my foggies lol
ps - i left my phone at home, thinking of getting some stickers made 2moro wanna come leo?
got sprint booster installed today! extremely happy with the result, might get a little too sensitive when accelerating from stop, but its not a worry, just needa get used to step on the pedal a little bit softer... but anything from 2nd gear is great, u feel the torque comes earlier...
installed cusco rear sway bar and tanabe sustec pro-nf.. its lowered.. we'll give a review later on and pics up sometime this week when i get the chance.
note-to-self: pump up tyres, clean car lol
u back in bris yet watermo?
YES IM BACK lol, finally can put the parts onto the car! Mugen visor installed too, took me ages to rip those window seals rubber down n get those clips inside -_- will probably install the HID sumtime tmr
awsome lol! so we can finally meet? haha - mind if leo and i tag along to see how bright the hids are, i might be changing over to them
yea sure! i'll let u guys kno once i hav them installed!
install that panel filter!!!! =D. want some cmoments about it =]

thats an ugly vent on the bonnet.
fk oaath lol its so central and waiide
just put in a supercat hotdog resonator to replace the huge stock one. sweet sound =D
what's a "supercat hotdog resonator" man, any pics/links? cheers!
dont think theres any links of it on the net. its just an aftermarket resonator (hotdog style) - the canister is smaller than the stock one so the sound resonates off the walls more and yea becomes louder lol. Sounds so sweet, louder than before and still maintaining the deep rumble of the xforce muffler =D. only down side is that i feel a lack of responsiveness now.. i didn't think the resonator would do this but.. theres a tiny bit of lag around 30-50 km/h.. so between 1st to 2nd gear, and 2nd to 3rd gear (on an auto) i feel a bit of lag on the accelerator paddle to the engine... just experiencing some delayed responsiveness =[.. anyone know why this is? Or if its gonna get better once the whole system settles in again?
ummm y didnt u just remove it?i removed mine and i love the sound of it, im using exforce twin loop and it POPs!hhahahaha
remove it and replace with jus a straight pipe? yea i was gna do that but i thought id jus try the resonator first, i love the sound though lol. just hating this lack of responsiveness.. do u know why its like that?
when your car pops means your car is running rich. i believe
whats running rich? =/...
i thought thats because the resonator isnt resonating the sound?
so wtf is running rich lol
no clizzue..maybe if u dont ride with 2 credit cards and 2000 cash u aint runnin rich...u aint ballin...im ballin.. im a baller...thus i ball...often
LOL. that didnt help at all
Running rich basically means that your Air Fuel Ratio is off and there is more fuel than air, which creates a rich condition.
so that causes popping? =/..
ah... anyways dus neone know why im experiencing a lack of responsiveness after the custom resonator of smaller diameter was put in?
oh, that makes a bit more sense haha. hmm would u reckon after the resonator settles in with the system and everything ill get better responsivenesS?
i removed my resonator and my car lagged. struggled to go so i put it back on. The rumble was much much louder. Was doing my head in
@black8thgen
yeah its all about the air to fuel mixture. it can be caused by changing intakes which allows more air to be sucked in and exhausts with larger diameter outlets. honda made their engines with specific intakes and outlets because they were the correct sizes if you get what i mean.
running rich is when fuel ratio is greater then air, its ok to run rich, just means you need a tune, if the inside of your exhausst pipe is black or going black due to the backfiring or popping, then your running rich.
running lean is when the fuel ratio is lower then air, start worrying. LOL i dunno the car symptoms of this haha
oh LOL. ahhh.. thanks for clearing it up lol.. shit i just wanna know if with this new resonator will the lag always be there or will it settle in later on?
i havn't taken my stock one out and replaced with just like a small pipe, ive put on a custom supercat stainless steel one.. like with proper resonating material and stuff inside.
