I saw a brand new red CTR that had ran up the ass of a truck today on Parramatta rd, bad luck, was repairable but pretty fcuked up for a 2-4 week old car.......was it anyone on OH?
not that bad bro..........its repairable. Someone must know who it was, anyone?
Still for a 2 week old car..he probably hasnt even had it for that long. I only got mine on Sunday.
I am taking a new Civic Type R for a test drive tomorrow afternoon. Muahahaha. :)

Test drove one today. Worst ride in a car ever and this comes from someone who drives an EH with leaf suspension. The ride is horrible on the street. I couldn't imagine doing a run to Victoria and back in it, especially with the engine noise. Seriously, why the **** didn't they just double wishbone the suspension and then angle grind the springs down. The ride would have been comparable. Maybe it's good for the track, but with all the luxury shit and a lack of a LSD, this isn't a track car. Should have stuck to the DC2R philosophy Honda, this CTR is one confused mofo that has no idea what it is. As either a sports coupe or a track car (aka DC2R) it would have been great, but this thing just isn't worth the Type-R badge in it's retail state.
I know how slowly these things move. If it's at the SIMS in October then we'd see it in the 2nd quarter of 2008 at best. Here's hoping though. Could be a worthy replacement for the DC5 in a few years.
Oh: Fuel consumption is shocking IMO. I was talking to the dealer and he seemed to think that 9/100 (his figures) for freeway was good. My old SiR would do 7.3 l/100 on a Syd->Melb run and when hammering it on the street/track would never do worse than 11. The SiR had marginally worse 0-100 figures: 7.3 average recorded (not Honda advertising) in stock trim and 15.3 1/4 mile. Admittedly this was in a car that weighed 1030 kilos, but it was a 240K+ kms car with only 160ps at the flywheel.
