Has OP done a REV's check (and other appropriate and equivelent checks)
Have you done a rev check on the VIN and chassis No.? Not a really big deal i guess but by the time it comes for you to sell it , its most likely the person who buys it wont have a clue anyway.
OP = Original Poster? If so then yeah we've done it all and it checks out, has a RWC and everything. Anything else i should check?
Considered getting a nmra inspection done? costs about $300 tho but better safe then sorry.
I havent done the REV's check yet no but the engine and shell both checked out. sorry about the OP thing lol im new to forums n stuff. Ill get the VIN number the next time im there to have a look, might just do it 2mz if i get enough info from you guys to check out. Thanks for the massive help.
Back in the day... rebirths were done by simply cutting the VIN off the firewall, doing the same to the chassis that is going to be used, and weld it in place.
Chop shops were so good at it you could only tell if you took back the paint to metal in that area to see if it had been welded....
I would be very wary of an EK4 that has no sunroof, and has not been imported.
As for BUT it says VTiR..... there is nothing hard about putting a sticker on the rear hatch. Which is the ONLY reference to "VTiR" on an EK4..... well at least the ones delivered to Australia.
Yeah I would highly recommend do the REVS check too. Better to be safe then sorry. 13k is alot of money..
Hrmm another idea to see if it is an REAL ek4 is check if its got the stock 13mm rear sway bar installed. If it doesn't have one installed.. def not a real EK4.
Or am I confused and cxi have rsb too?
Yeah i will do that then, i hope it all checks out tho because im going to be pissed if its not because its the only civic that is actually close to me, otherwise i would have to make a 5hour+ trip to brisbane to check out cars and i dont have the time or money to do that.
1500 is alright, it just depends on what rims you want. I would suggest a higher budget though, never skimp on your tyres.
Take a look in the appearance gallery and find the EK thread.
If you see a set of rims you like just ask about them in this thread and people will be able to help you out.
anyone know if the ek4 interior is the same for audm and jdm?
looks like audm interior atm
