VTEC's not engaging anymore but kicks in at 5900... what could it be?

I know my motor inside out, its a JDM B18C off a 98 spec type r

Sorry I just had to comment on this. The Noob OP is just too funny.

States funny stuff (VTEC on and then off and the no VTEC and then secondary intake then VTEC then what??!).

Then says 'yes I know my motor inside out'.

But before that says 'sorry to dissapoint u but its a JDM B18C.... VTEC activate at 5200 then 5800 the second runner will open up'.

Then says (in summary) 'errr maybe it's not JDM, maybe whatever. Maybe you guys right me wrong, or maybe I'm smart and you all are dumb'.

Open up your mind boy, you won't learn anything with an attitude like this and will continue making funny mistakes just to prove your point.

Its actual experience in dealing with the above said.

I've worked on a vtir manifold & a type R manifold.
2 different designs, not what i read off the net mate.

I've actu7ally taken an electrical signal from the vtec solenoid to see when it actually come on, instead of "but I thought I heard it come on at 5200 & baaaaaaaAAAAAAAAA at 5800 and VRRRRRmmmmmmmm all the out to redline."

As I dont have much experience about honda, and i do agree with the comments that has been posted on here....

But then I was able to reach the 120's kw atw (dead stock) so i cant say its a vtir.... and also i was able to fit the b18c7 skunk2 im onto my motor (it was a straight bolt on)........

A skunk2 manifold is a copy of the dc2r manifold...lol..
Changing the crossover point in a stock engine (no internal work) will make you lose power, these vtec controllers are all useless unless you have aggressive toda spec c's which the optimum point is even higher at 6k+ or so redlining all the way to 9k, also the controllers (apexi,buddyclub etc) arent piggyback ecu's.

This topic has to be the biggest laugh from the start
