Any of you bring your own engine oil when you go for the service? I am thinking of bring my own synthetic oil for my service at the Honda dealers.. not sure if they are hesitated though...

Rang three Honda dealers today to get quote for Jazz 40,000km Service

Gary & Warren Smith Oakleigh $480
Eastern Honda Doncaster $595 !!!!!!
Courtney & Patterson Heidelberg $495

I will take mine to Courtney and Patterson next week, they said that they will match Gary and Warren Smith's quote..... and its 5 mins walk from my house..... :)

ouch...... $480 bucks is still alot...... :(

They probably don't do anything different anyway..seriously I have changed pretty much everything they "inspect" and I don't need to pay someone to tell me if my fluid bottles needed filling up, or if head lights are working or whatever....

My 10,000km was $264.90
My 20,000km was $300.00 (they took $50 off because i asked them not to rotate my wheels and do a few other things)

It's a rip-off. I have only done 12,000km now and am coming up for my service again (30,000km - I get it done every 6 months instead).

Now I just bought 15litres of Elf synthetic for $160 delivered, plus a filter for $17 and I'm set for the next 3 services!

Even the 40,000km service they only replace the oil, oil filter and air filter....they inspect all this crap that they say takes hours...it's rubbish!

anyone here has done the 40,000km service

can you please copy the list of things that's on the service list? so we all know what needs to be done??? and then this way we can have a better idea of why this service cost so much............
