I agree entirely with Joe. Type R internals, Intake Manifold and TB (even tho its a very debatable mod as to where the gains lie, or even if they exist), you will still be down .2 litres on displacement, which means torque.
Use the lightweight chassis to your advantage and diet as best you can. Again, like Joe said, a light weight flywheel (4kg range) and a nice FD (ITR gearbox, replace gears etc).
Use your NA car to its potential. Create a nice, free-flowing air system. Direct Cold Air Intake (create a direct cold air feed, whilst sheilding as much excess hot air from the engine bay as possible), nicely matched H/E setup and then a proper ECU tune and you will see considerate gains.
get a type r engine
get a type r
remove your air filter element and the box below the front left rail and replace it with a 3 inch flex piping and make it run down to the front bar to an opening so the engine only gets cold air from out side.
then knock the guts out of your cattelack conveter and run a straight through pipe through the cattelack converter.
then get $800 and buy a TODA flywheel.
and last of all when taking off release the clutch till it's slightly grabbing and rev the car to 8000rpm taking off trying to limit wheel spin ( dont ride it to much, baisically it t6ake a few times to get use to it.
drivers side rail.
ahahhah believe it or not ... you can get type r engine in 1.6ltr b16b - i was comparing output not displacement....Quote:
