thanks mate, anyone have anything on the mongoose alarms or know of installers in melbourne?
Cyclops by Dynamco Australia make very reliable and good quality alarms. THey are also based in Perth and offer technical support to customers. 2 Years warranty standard when installed by there supplier.
All there alarms are Australian standard and they have alarms to suit any Insurance company standards aswell.

i know cyclops are a very reliable alarm, with battery back up siren, a number of choices of additional sensors, (standard glass break), you can add microwave sensors, tilt sensors, shock (try and stay away from shock sensors as they are prone to going off at random times for no reasen eg loud exhaust, traffic, cats jumping on your bonnet at night!) Try not to add too many sensors tho keep it pretty simple, just do the microwave for movement and the standard glass break and of course all your bonnet boot and doors, and you should be safe. I'm an ex autobarn employee and have vast experiance with these alarms.... good choice.
P.S, the viper system is very expencive for what it is, the key fob is around $250 to replace if you break it and the stupid thing only has a range of around 250 meters, looks pretty shwanky tho
wat brand is m24 or m25??
they know who I am :)
I'm also looking at upgrading my alarm system.
Anyone has any more installer places in Melbourne to recommend?
Meanwhile, has anyone tried out any new alarm system?
Thanx!
see above :)
Anyone know of any Rhino dealers in Melbourne??
can anyone recommend somethin real basic? ie looking to spend $200 or less installed...
all i want is an alarm with central locking and goes off when the door/boot/bonnet opens... somethin real basic... the civic has an immobiliser already in the key i believe
