the thing is, kelv banned him because of a personal attack that he provoked. i don't see ben doing that to others..
plus ben's practically a co-owner of this site.. owners don't get banned or demodded.

its not about being perfect, its about knowing your responsibilities as a moderator. I was a mod on a much larger forum than this, and in a very similar instance the offending mod was immediately removed, as this was the one course of action that allows the site management to retain its credibility. The last thing you want is for a forums mods to be known as "nazis" who will use their powers whenever they choose without consequence.

Its a case of having to put the welfare abd image of the forum as a whole above the feelings of a mod who quite clearly abused his power in both his original reply to the thread and then dealing with the member he incited.

i was provoked by the comment above...maybe taking it too personal but everyone reads into things differently, and that was the reason for my comments after which was non agressive non abusive...simply saying...i really dont care for his thread.

but couldn't you just pm with a warning ?

but don't you think it's harsh to ban someone who has been provoked ?

if this were two normal members (no mods involved), they'd both be banned for abusing each other (take bede and adam for example) but in this case, it's a david and goliath battle..

there's two sides to every story.. and unfortunately, you're on the wrong side.

Mistake made - lesson learned. I don't see why it can't be left at that tRipitaka.

I am sure you will be watching Jinrai like a hawk from now on - so if you are concerned about something you see you can always PM Wynode or create another thread like this to crucify him again. Somehow I think you will choose the latter approach.

after reading through this thread...it brought back memories from PA.com

i've stopped posting there because of members thinking they are top shit...not necessarily mods....

hopefully all this gets sorted out soon...coz i want a friendly and helpful forum to post on....not to come online and watch cyber heros start thread wars....
