when my top radiator tank was leaking, and temp was getting high my pillar temp gauge showed an increase in temperature to gangerous degrees before the 'stock cluster gauge' even moved.
I highly recommend to anyone to install these... not because they look pretty at night with all the lights on but because they actually do work!
Yeah i wanna get water temp, oil temp, and pressure!! (oil pressure that is)
Not sure if to hide them or have them on the pillar??
They are totally usefull! I had a water temp in my ol sprinter and it awsome just to get an accurate reading espicially on hot days
How would you tap a line for oil temperature and pressure? Do you have to plumb in a temperature sensor into the sump and pressure sensor into the oil line?
Not 100% sure off the temperature but I know the Pressure runs off thesame area where normal pressure sensor is: on the CRX its above the oil filter.
An oil pressure gauge should come with a sensor supplied.
It would be also possible to measure temperature off thesame area i'd imagine... but I think it could be tapped into the oil cooler pipe which runs through your radiator... can someone confirm this?
Just checked my service manual and found the pressure switch to use for the oil pressure gauge. But I still have no idea about where to plumb the temperature sensor.
if you want to do it on ur euro, do it really properly dude.Quote:
