Carbon bonnets any good?

i was lead to believe you dont need bonnet pins for them unless your circuit or going at really high speeds like .
otherwise they are more of a showy thing.

Full CF hood is very expensive, not to mention illegal.

CF= lighter than stock bonnet

if you plan to track or high speeds .. recommend pins.

and they arent legal bonnets... some insurance comapny allow you to have it on but dont cover it.

remember people. safety first

most bonnets around here arent full CF.. just a few layers of it.

yeh make sure u put pins on cause right now...ive got one and when i hit high speeds the lights start to go on..

but yes the are illegal :D

I'm all for CF, but how much weight reduction are we looking at here? How much does and oem bonnet weigh compared to the CF? I can't believe this hasn't been previously asked...
