Remember, the amount of throttle you use affects your fuel consumption. So if you are using more throttle at 2500rpm because it doesn't make enough torque, then you will consume more fuel than if you were using 3000-3500rpm with less throttle.

graphite lux man... stock as a rock. im not always in the right lane, i sit in the middle lane if there is space infront, so any hoon doesnt have to slow down for me, and if i sneak past the speed limit, a HP cant radar me from way way back...before i see them, i dont speed often, the car speed just creeps up on you.
dont thrash then cruise, squirt then cruise lol...
80057 - graphite lux, will pass you 2morrow, (right lane hoon I am ;-))
Most efficient fuel consumption to date 703km from 55 litres of fuel (BP 98ron) approx 7.8 per 100km
For a petrol engine 2.4 litre n/a car weighing almost 1.5 tonne these are very efficient consumption figures I'm very happy with the Euro
I've averaged 9.2L/100k's over the first 20K, but just got down to 6.2L/100k's on a highway trip using 6th gear where possible, no air con, at 100-110k's!
And I believe it does rev more freely after 15k or so.
I've got as low as 6.8l/100 kms.Sydney to Canberra 4 people with luggage no A/C 110k/hr.
i get 600-650km mix city/highway driving, and 500km driving it hard, or 800km highway driving
